She took the time to listen to my health needs. Staff is very friendly. They offer early morning appointments , which is very convenient.
Dr. Marpu was great! I was seen right away, friendly office staff. She really listened to me. I will definitely see her again.
Excellent doctor and her team!
This was my first visit for annual physical. The clinic is quite spacious and clean. I was taken in right away after coming. The nurse and front desk gal are very sweet.Dr. Marpu came to see me right away. She was quick to examine me and asked my concerns. she had a little chat with me, which made me connect with her. Satisfied patient!
They were a bit behind, but everyone in the office was very nice and professional. Upon meeting Dr. Marpu she was very empathetic towards my issue and gave me the medical attention I needed. She thought out of the box and helped me begin the process of healing. Very pleased with her bedside manner and treatment.
Calm, good listener, caring, nice staff.
Excellent experience. Dr neelima was very nice. She asked all details and explained a few things i had asked. She took enough time to go over all details. It was awesome that they open on saturdays. Have a followup scheduled for next week. Did get some lab tests done as well and the doctor was just great.
I came in for a routine check-up, and walked away without any problems. My appointment was punctual and quick. Dr. Marpu is such a sweetheart, she is very attentive, likable, and approachable.
Very friendly. Great communication and very professional, but not impersonal.
Dr. Marpu is a wonderful Doctor! She is very thorough and takes the time to explain whatever your issues are. And on top of that she is patient and you don't feel rushed like others Doctors tend to do these days.
Dr. Marpu was very professional. She and her staff were friendly and I did not feel rushed.
It was ok I got some of what I needed but not everything I needed so it was ok.
Very kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and quick. She is easy to talk to and comfortable to be treated by. Will go back.
The doctor herself seemed knowledgeable and kind. She gave a very gentle gynecologic exam, which is notable. On the other hand, there was a sense of disorganization in the office that permeated thru the visit. Many of the staff seem unaware of what's expected, or what's happening. For instance, my appointment was the first of the day, at a 1100 am. No one was there to greet us, for several minutes. The doctor arrived first. She did my insurance paperwork until her receptionist arrived (11:15?) and then disappeared. 15 minutes later I was seen and felt pretty comfortable with the experience, once I was with the physician. However, when the doctor left the examining room, (for unknown reasons), I had a question. I asked the young woman at the exam desk (a different nursing assistant or receptionist) whether I needed to undress. The young woman didn't appear busy, but she said she had "no idea" about where the doctor had gone or if I needed to undress. That could have been handled more professionally, even if it was true. Also, the paperwork is lengthy, YET does not ask about medical history OR allergies. It's unusual not to have those basic questions asked. My guess is that it's a new satellite office or new practice. In a year, it all may be perfected. To be clear, Dr. Marpu does have a great bedside manner and she gives a superior exam. She's in primary care, but seems to have a breadth of knowledge that goes beyond the general. In addition to my cause for going, I've had seizures and she was familiar with a new seizure medication I'm taking.
Great knowledge and very helpful.
She is very kind and a good doctor. She listens and cares.
She was very helpful, and noticed that my bloode pressure was abnormally high which I didn't know!
She an amazing professional.
Great first visit! Dr Marpu took her time and I never felt rushed. She thoroughly went over my past medical issues. There was no waiting in the waiting room. Took less than 3 minutes from the time I was put into a exam room and when the doctor came in. They have Labcorp on site which is super convenient!
Amazing!!!! Dr Marpu is great! She listens and takes the time to understand you and your issues. She treats you with respect and doesn't talk down to you.
Dr. Marpu and her staff were great! I was seen quickly and everyone was very friendly.
She is very detailed and thorough
Dr. Marpu is very thorough and caring. She takes the time to talk with patients and insures they understand everything.
Very positive experience! Very friendly, easy to talk to, and beautiful office. So happy I found this office and will definitely bring my family here too.
Excellent bedside manner , very thorough and professional .
Great experience, clean office and quick service. All my concerns were addressed.
Great experience during my visit. I received curtious service and discovered Marpu offers a variety of comprehensive services for both personal and family. Will recommend to anyone.
Could not have been nicer to us! Dr. Marpu's bedside manner was excellent. Just moved to the area and was very nervous about a new doctor for my son. She answered every question we had and was very thorough in her exam. Highly recommend- so pleased. We will be back to see her and hopefully next time it's just a wellness visit!
It was very quick. The DOC was very polite and professional.
Great first time experience with Dr Marpu, she was very informative and vey professional. Office is vey nice and clean. I highly recommend!
It was the best experience.
Good. The best in my recent visits to any doctor.
Dr. Marpu and the front end staff were absolutely wonderful. Ive been in Ashburn for almost 4 years and have yet to find a doctor who I love........Until Now. DR. Marpu was very professional, very personable, on time, diligent and very friendly. I felt like I have known her for years, just after a few minutes. I would certainly recommend her to many people and wish her office great success in the near future!
Dr. Marpu was very friendly and professional and I felt very comfortable and at ease with her. There was hardly any waiting time and the office is very fast and efficient when checking in and being taken back to the room. My family and sisters referred me to Dr.Marpu and told me how great, patient, and sweet she is and I'm very happy I was referred to her and look forward to seeing her again soon.
My visit with Dr. Marpu went extraordinarily well. I have moved from Vania to Virginia and in transferring all of my primary care needs to her office she was able to give me set up with the primary care that I need through her while also referring me to her most trusted pain management specialist and physical therapy specialist whom are within a short distance of my home and her office which makes finding the facilities much more manageable as well as allowing me and much more comfortable trip due to the short distance required to drive to get there. Thank you again dr. Marpu and I look forward to my next visit with you.
Dr. Marpu is a great doctor who has a conservative approach to treating colds and illness. This is good because you do not want to take too much antibiotics, only enough to treat your problem.
Great staff and Doctor was awesome
Very thorough and takes her time to litsen very knowledgeable!!
I enjoyed my visit very much.
Dr Marpu rocks!
She's great, and is very to the point. No messing around. She's one of my favorites in the whole practice because she's thorough - and if you're sick or looking to get something specific treated, she puts thought into your treatment so you won't have to go through multiple rounds of antibiotics/etc.
Great visit but Zoc Doc appointment app DID NOT WORK with the office's system. Thankfully I had an ungodly early appointment time or I wouldn't have gotten in. CALL THE OFFICE AND AVOID ZOC DOC to make sure you don't visit the office to find out they don't even have you in the system.
Dr. Marpu was very thorough in taking patient history and was very pleasant.
Make your visit with her a regular thing. She is diligent and attentive.
She never followed up with me regarding important blood work and didn't send me any notification to check online for my results.
Dr. Marpu is very thorough, caring and professional. It's too bad her practice does not take my insurance anymore and I had to find a new doctor.
Very professional and competent.
Nice front office staff, MA was nice, blood-draw nurse was a little unpleasant, but not rude. The doctor was friendly and made some small talk, the wait time was short and the visit was thorough. The office location is very convenient, in a medical building, I would come back because ease of booking an appointment and wait time was very good.
The receptionist is rude and incompetent. She was extremely unhelpful. This is the worst experience I have ever had with an health care professional. This doctor claims she sent my prescription to the pharmacy, it never got there. I don't know where she sent it but, that email never got to the pharmacy. I had to go to another doctor just so I could get the medication. It makes me question her judgment as health care provider. If she could mess up a simple task like emailing a prescription to the pharmacy, what else did she mess up? This is a frustrating experience that no one should have to deal with especially when one is ill. This was a truly horrible experience I wish I had never gone there.
She is generally a very competent doctor. She does come off as a bit more distant than some other family doctors that I've seen, but she is generally fine.
Dr. Marpu was extremely kind and attentive. The questions she asked and responses she gave showed an interest in my health concerns. Whereas many doctor's offices in the area want patients to be in and out within 15 minutes, Dr. Marpu never made me feel rushed and she was very thorough. Even though her office is not particularly close to my home or office, I will definitely be going back because of her excellent care.
Dr Marpu is a great doctor. I actually found her on zocdoc after having several horrible experiences at my previous PCP office (bad customer service-- rude and disrespectful to patients). I'm definitely sticking with her. She is very nice, listens well and very patient. Very knowledgeable!
Dr. Marpu was nice, but she didn't spend very much time answering my questions. The office was also not very clean.
Dr. Marpu looked at all my blood work from August and decided she wanted to wait until November to do lab work. I got a flu shot which I needed. I showed Dr. Marpu I still couldn't put on a shoe do the vein closures and excessive swelling. Have to have 2 more vein closures before I can go to the Lymphedema Center at Sibley. Discussed going on a diet after the Jewish holidays and told her I was going to see a nutritionist in October. All in all a great visit with an outstanding doctor who takes her time with patients.
Dr. Marpu is sensitive to one's condition and addresses it very well. I had a short visit today as I needed to speak with her about medications. I was in and out of there in less than 30 minutes.
It went well. She is very friendly and knowledgeable.
this was my first visit to any doctor in DC, and it was very good. Thank you ZocDoc.
She is very sweet, helpful, and knowledgeable about what she does. She made me feel welcome for my first time visiting, and made sure that I was taken care of health-wise.
I've been a patient of hers for years and I love Dr. Marpu. She listens is patient and I never have long waits or feel rushed in her office.
check in/MA- nice, took me back right away. Knew her job Dr Marpu- straight to the point, and very thorough. I do wish she was personable, and her bedside manner could use some improving. Phlebotomist- customer service skills need improving. Had no problem expressing lack of confidence in drawing my blood. I've been to this office a few times. Overall, customer service is mediocre. I like an office that treats you more like a friend, that's how my doctor was back home. I would go back to Dr. Marpu if I get a cold or something similar. For my annual exam, I will go elsewhere.
Very good. However, I was asked to change in front of two windows that did not have the blinds drawn, and the nurse gave me an EKG in the same situation. I decided that the windows must be tinted, but it gave me some pause. I think they should consider patient's privacy a little better.
It was okay. Pretty standard straight forward physical. She was very bfocused but somewhat stiff.
As usual, everyone if attentive, efficient and friendly-- the entire office from reception to technicians and medical assistants to Neelima herself.
I went in for a second visit about my sinuses, as they are an ongoing issue, no nasal spray or pill I have been provided by a general physician has yet to work, so I made an appointment specifically to get a referral to an ENT. Ironically, I caught a virus the day before the appointment, so the appointment ended up being about that. When I asked about a referral, or even a refill of a nose spray, the doctor completely ignored me. I left without any prescriptions, no advice on what could be affecting my sinuses, nothing. I will have to find yet another primary care provider that will actually listen to my health needs and not completely ignore me like Dr Marpu.
First visit, overall positive. Nothing extraordinary (which is why I didn't give 5 stars), but still a very positive experience. Professional, clear, and helpful. Gave good information and the help I needed.
Very pleased. She was very thorough.
Great visit and I was seen right away. As always Dr. Marpu fixes my issues.
Always pleasant visit with Dr. Marpu. Well be seeing again for physical.
she is very careful in sharing what she knows how to do and where to go where an expert is needed; also the office gives me full online access to my records- I cant imagine better primary care
Very unhappy. I didn't feel that Doctor Marpu took any time with me as a patient, gave me standard, quick responses to my questions, and did not provide me with any personal attention. She seemed to be in a rush to make it to the next patient. I do not know how much she charged my insurance, but I could have gotten the same care from a nurse practitioner. I will not be returning.
She listens, and explains.
Great experience, professional stuff. highly recommended for a family doctor
The first time I went Dr. Marpu was late because of weather. She was polite about it apologized. I've been to her four different times and she makes me feel very uncomfortable. She isn't friendly, she is mostly looking at her computer while she is talking to you. I don't like the vibe she give off. I can she her appointments are very quick. You're in and out which is the o nly good thing I like about her.
Scheduling with this office was a nightmare. I scheduled an appointment through ZocDoc and the office cancelled my appointment without any apology or explanation why. I was annoyed but scheduled another appointment through ZocDoc, and the office cancelled my appointment once again. At this point, I was fed up and frustrated--especially since all I wanted was a prescription refill and the doctor wouldn't just phone it in to my pharmacy. I called the primary scheduling number and got a very huffy, rude and disrespectful woman who was not helpful at all. I wanted to know why my appointments kept getting cancelled and she said very condescendingly that she was in the main scheduling office and couldn't help me. She transferred me to the Chevy Chase office without any warning--but that was fine because I didn't want to deal with her attitude anymore. I scheduled an appointment over the phone and then noticed that I had gotten an email from someone named Cindy Vainquer apologizing for my second appointment being cancelled. I responded to her email to let her know that my first appointment had been cancelled and that I was upset at how I had been treated by the woman over the phone, but she never responded. Although Dr. Marpu is fine, I was pretty put off by my experiences with the scheduling and how the staff treated me, so I doubt that I will go back.
She was impersonal and did not do a thorough exam. She was not someone I would really trust with any major medical issues.
I've been to Dr. Marpu a lot and she's never been anything short of solid. I am unsure why she gets just ok reviews because it's always been a prompt visit, professional and helpful when I go into her office.
Professional, calm, competent, and reasonable. Does not order needless tests, arrives at most plausible diagnosis based on evidence and patient history.
I went to the office to have Pap Smear. Dr. Marpu can make me feel comfortable with her. She doesn't talk much but she really pay attention to my questions and answer thoughtfully. I have no reason to find a new doctor.
Usually Dr Marpu is great, but during this visit I felt like she couldn't get me out of her office fast enough.
I felt like Dr. Marpu wasn't really listening to my concerns. She seemed to already have a response before I was finished explaining. Once, I came in when it was snowing, and she was rushing so that she could beat the snow. I wish she'd cancelled the appointment, rather than rushing through my appointment.
It was good.
I called at 8am when the office opened, hoping to come in on the same day for a sick appointment. They fit me in at 9:45, which was great, and took me early when I arrived at 9:30. Dr. Marpu is my primary care provider, and she was very nice, talked through my medications with me, and was entirely thorough.
Nice doctor but there wasn't much she could do at the time. Very cautious. Basically she wanted to refer me to others when she could've handled it herself.
Professional, competent, quick, smart
This was my dream appointment - able to schedule online and I could make an appointment for 7 am, before work? Yes please! I was taken back at about 7:05 and the doctor came in about 10 minutes later. I was in for a Pap smear and she was quick & to the point. She took my history and sent a prescription ahead to my local CVS. Dr. Marpu was bright & cheery. Her manner plus the modernity of booking online/managing your results online with their system/early appointments has convinced me to book my physical here and make Dr. Marpu my regular doctor.
Although I'm a former RN, with a MS in nursing, I'm very doctor-phobic when it comes to me as a patient. Dr. M. was fantastic. The only down-side was her staff. Am used to dealing with RNs in medical practices, and would prefer an MD practice with RNs and nurse practitioners doing vital signs and intake. When the assistant asked what I was allergic to, and I told her, she asked me how to spell the word. That lack of basic knowledge freaked me out. If I didn't have to deal with the staff, I'd rate the MD as perfect.
Very professional and understanding
She's nice and professional and knowledgeable.
Dr. Marpu is my Fav. She's really professional and sweet. I'll be making her my primary care physician!
The visit went pretty well. The doctor often assumed I knew certain medical terminology and I left googling a lot of things and feeling a little scared.
I was unpleasantly surprised with how my visit with Dr. Marpu went: she was very indifferent to my complaints and helped with none either. I most likely won't be going back to her.
I searched for a dermatologist and booked an appt with Dr Marpu, but Dr Marpu is a primary care physician and I had to waste time going to this appointment.
Liked the way she listened and thought about what I was telling her.
Pleasant bedside matter, quick diagnosis, requisite prescription issued and date set for follow-up to make sure the problem is solved. No sending for unnecessary tests and no balking at coming to a conclusion about my problem. Early morning appointment was easy to get and very convenient for a working person. Recommended for people who like a no-fuss visit to the doctor for a straightforward appraisal and treatment of an issue.
Cold, distant, and very uninterested in listening. Think of the kind of attitude you get from someone at the DMV.
I made an appointment at 7 Am as she had assured me she was always in right on time and I could be out by 7:15. She came in over 35 minutes late but then did a fine job.
I really like Dr, Marpu. She had great bedside manner, she was extremely accommodating. I would highly recommend her for anyone...kids, male/female.
She was quiet, not chatty, focused on the reason I was in, at got to the point. I liked that the appointment was quick and dirty so I could get out of there. However, she didn't take any time to get to know me, and when I had mentioned depression, she only asked if I was taking anything for it, but wasn't interested in the reason for it. But I got my evaluation and my prescriptions and I was happy to rush out to my next errand.
I thought it was good from beginning to end. Staff performed their duties with proficiency in straightforward manner. Dr. Marpu was good.
Dr. Marpu was absolutely fantastic. Her staff was amasing and she was very personable. I would recommend her to anyone!
This doctor left the blinds wide open while I was getting my pap smear. There were people walking outside in plain site! She was nice, but not all that informative when I asked her questions. Not I would recommend going somewhere else.
Professional, competent, smart.
Dr. Marpu was great and very efficient - I was in and out of there in no time.
Effecient and pleasant
Excellent, efficient, convenient office. They know how to respect a patient's precious time! Thanks for getting me in and out in a flash.
Some may seek a warmer disposition from their doctor, but this is exactly the way primary care is supposed to be--from scheduling to consultation--and what everyone should want. Efficient and thorough, I never felt like a faceless body. Dr. Marpu asked questions that let me know she was looking for the proper course of action, not just the quickest way to get me out of the office.
Thoughtful, patient, and does not dismiss concerns. Knowledgeable and does not feel the need to pretend to know something she doesn't. Very easy to talk to.
She was fantastic. Extremely thorough, explained everything, had an awesome bedside manner. I highly recommend her.
If you need a consultation and annual test you are with the right person.
Dr. Marpu was very through and concerned with my issues.
Very patient, and takes time to get to know her patients concerns.
She was OK but the annual gyno exam was not her forte (painful) and I got overbilled by the office.
Very professional and knowledgeable. Not the warmest person I've ever met, but she gets the job done. I would recommend her to others.
She was great! Very thorough and had a wonderful bedside manner.
Dr. Marpu is a very kind and knowledgeable doctor who took her time and gave me the proper care that I was looking for. I recommend her highly.
