About Dr. Neil Farnsworth
Dr. Neil Farnsworth is a board certified dermatologist who has practiced the full range of medical and surgical dermatology since 2010. He is a graduate from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and as a New Orleans native, he returned home to complete his internal medicine internship at Tulane University Medical Center and his dermatology residency at LSU Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Farnsworth enjoys the variety of dermatology from routine skin exams to complicated medical cases in all ages and skin types. He has experience treating medical conditions including acne, dermatitis, benign lesions, rosacea and psoriasis, while preforming non-Mohs skin cancer surgery. He also treats hair loss with scalp injections using the individual patient’s platelet-rich plasma. His love of dermatology reflects his diverse experiences: treating the patient as a whole while understanding their condition’s pathology.
Dr. Farnsworth considers it his greatest privilege to treat the amazing and diverse citizens of the Greater New Orleans area. He received the Louisiana Dermatology Society’s Peterkin Award for his public education efforts addressing dermatologic issues affecting skin of color.
Desiring to work in a practice valuing integrity, service and education above all, he is a great team member. Dr. Farnsworth welcomes patients of all ages and all skin conditions.
