Dr. Ngozi Ruth Agwuna is a caring and reliable pediatrician based in Ellicott City, MD. Dr. Agwuna earned her degree in medicine from the Medical University 'Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov' Varna Faculty of Medicine. She then moved to the United States to complete her internship and also residency in pediatrics at Howard University Hospital. She also completed her internship at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital.
Dr. Agwuna runs her own practice. She is affiliated with MedStar Harbor Hospital. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, MedChi, the Maryland State Medical Society, and the Maryland Association of Nigerian Physicians. Dr. Agwuna is always so sweet to my whole family. My 6 year old daughter is beyond shy, but Dr. Agwuna is always so amazing with her, and she's always great at making my daughter come out of her shell, and feel safe. Absolutely love Dr. Agwuna and love the office staff, they always are great to us.

Dr. Ruth is great. Her staff on the other hand I cant say the same. Everytime we come here we are waiting to be seen past a hour its ridiculous. My baby went for a 6. Month check up and they got a needle stuck in her thigh I was very furious. It took almost a month for it to heal. I scheduled her 9 month check up and guess what my husband and I had to walk out because we were there forever in a day. Never ever will I send anyone I know to that location.

I did Not like this doctor! First the wait was ridiculous, then whenever we had concerns about ours kids she just come up with something to shoot our concern down and not provide us with any actual information to show us there was nothing wrong. Then we switch doctors and apparently they needed to call me 10 times to ask why we were leaving, then dragged their feet to email MY kids medical records to the new doctor when I had filled out all the forms and called and everything took almost a year for them to finally send their records over . SO GLAD i switched! Oh and then I recently had to call my doctor after hours and got sent to the doctor on call at the hospital and guess what! It was Aqwuna! And she never even called me back when I left the nurse my first and last name and phone number and the nurse even said "stay by the phone she'll call you back within 5 minutes" after my 6 year old had a seizure for the first time and never got a call back. VERY glad I left!

She was professional. She was kind and listened. They had an issue with locating files I had already filled out prior to the appointment. It is not a serious issue but it was a minor inconvenience trying to retrieve all the information I had readily available in my home.

My daughter got upset in the office on Monday, said that the physician was to personal with her opinions far as whats going on with my daughter . before her appt I called the office earlier to explain my concern before she arrives with grandmother. I had no problems in the past with Dr. Agwuna,but after hearing what happened I don't feel that she is capable with handling a child with questionable mental issue.

Everyone was very professional and kind. My kids loved the staff and the doctor. They treated us like family and my kids were always smiling even after my one year old son received his shots. My two year old who was just observing said she wanted shots. I have never felt so comfortable with taking my children to a pediatrician before. My family have went through a couple pediatricians and we have now found the perfect one. Thank you to all the staff for making this visit such a pleasurable experience.

This is one of the best doctor's in this area. We've taken our children to many and were not pleased. Dr. Agwuna was very thorough and pleasant - she took her time to carefully check our 3 year old, and addressed all of our concerns. We're going to transfer both of our children to Dr. Agwuna as the new family Pediatrician!

It is extremely rare, at least in my experience, to have a doctor come in, look me in the face, shake my hand, offer their name and ask for mine. She handled my child with great care and attention, careful not to scare her as she was already irritable from being in the doctor's office in the first place. She explained everything very carefully and gave me tips on how to get my daughter to take her oral antibiotics. She made a follow up call the same day with the lab results and explained my daughter's diagnosis. I really appreciate that she is involved and engaging. She was friendly and I'm glad I made her my daughter's primary care physician.
