Welcome to Central Iowa Psychological Services. My role as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is to work with adults and teens, as well as children and their families in the diagnosis and medical treatment to manage mental health symptoms. My goal is to provide a positive therapeutic relationship and serve to effectively help people to feel and function better. I work with patients who are diagnosed with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, ADHD, Schizophrenia, and substance abuse.
My education includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Iowa State, a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Allen College, and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Allen College. I have worked in mental health in various capacities since 2003, including as a mental health outreach worker and an inpatient psychiatric nurse.
