About Nicole Casady

Nikki Rataj Casady has been a dermatology physician assistant (PA) since 2007. A Michigan native, Nikki grew up in Rochester and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Central Michigan University’s College of Health Professions. She then attained the highest level of education for a PA, a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) from the University of Lynchburg in Virginia, a degree emphasizing healthcare leadership and the advancement of clinical practice. In dermatology, Nikki was awarded the Diplomate title in 2015 and completed an additional Diplomate Fellowship in 2020 through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. The title of SDPA Diplomate and Diplomate Fellow is nationally recognized and awarded only to experienced dermatology PAs, reflecting an individual’s utmost dedication to the dermatology profession. Nikki is an adjunct clinical instructor and preceptor for the University of Michigan’s nurse practitioner program. She also is a preceptor for Advanced Dermatology’s PA/NP Training Program. Nikki maintains her board certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She also holds professional memberships with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the Michigan Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants. Nikki joined the Advanced Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery family of offices in June 2015. She has practiced dermatology in both the Northern Michigan and Detroit areas. She is thrilled to be back living along the Woodward Corridor with her husband, daughter, greyhound, and French bulldog.

I can’t possibly say enough about my experience with Advanced Dermatology. The office was immaculate, bright and cheery. The staff behind the desk were very friendly and helpful. Now how do I rate my attending medical person? Nikki was absolutely the BEST! She treated me with kindness and compassion. While she performed my procedure, she continually ask how I was doing and apologized for any pain she was causing me. I am so pleased with her and the facility, that I would highly recommend them. They have become my new goto dermatologist.
