About Dr. Nishath Farhad
Nishath Farhad, DO, FAAP is a board-certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for children from birth through adolescence. She believes that building trusting relationships with families and partnering with parents are the foundation of helping children thrive. Her goal is to create a welcoming environment where children feel comfortable and families feel heard, supported, and empowered in making decisions about their child’s health.
Dr. Farhad earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin before receiving her master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from The University of North Texas Health Science Center. She then attended medical school at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) in Fort Worth. She completed her pediatric residency at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center in Temple, Texas, where she received comprehensive training caring for children and adolescents in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Dr. Farhad’s professional interests include preventative care, developmental and behavioral pediatrics (including ADHD), asthma and eczema management, social-emotional and mental health, healthy lifestyle counseling, and childhood obesity prevention. She is passionate about partnering with patients and families to support healthy growth and development and helping children establish lifelong habits that promote overall well-being.
In recognition of her commitment to patient care, Dr. Farhad has been named a DFW Child Mom-Approved Pediatrician for four consecutive years (2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026), reflecting the trust and confidence of the families she has had the privilege of serving.
Dr. Farhad speaks English and conversational Bangla. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, cooking, staying active through fitness, and spending time with her husband and three children.
