Neurosurgeon has nothing to do with a neurologist. I couldn't see a neurosurgeon for any help due to seizures etc . They practice a totally different field. Now I know.

I had an appointment with the doctor at Coney Island Hospital. While the nurse was taking my temp and BP, I asked if the doctor was there. She was unfamiliar with his name. I ultimately asked a doctor if Dr. Mariwalla was there. She told me that he was in surgery and that another doctor would see me. This annoyed me because I had taken 2 trains and a bus to get there. I spoke over the phone with a nurse who asked if I wanted to speak with,and she also suggested that he could listen in on my visit with the other doctor. I declined because he was in surgery and I didn't think he should be doing that type of multitasking. The nurse,however, didn't seem to think anything was wrong with that. She said that she would give him my number, but he never called that day. I was given an appointment for two weeks later. I'll call before I come. The nurse gave me a number that she says is his. I'll use it. Someone should have contacted me to inform me that he wouldn't be there.
