Hi! I'm Yemi. As a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in Psychiatric-Mental Health, I am passionate about providing high-quality care to individuals facing mental health challenges. I earned my Master's in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Northern Kentucky University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to deliver comprehensive mental health services.
I have particular expertise in developing treatment plans that combine medication management with evidence-based psychotherapy. Through this integrated approach, I help individuals address the root causes of their mental health concerns and work towards achieving long-term wellness.
In my practice, I prioritize building strong relationships with my patients and fostering open communication through group or solo therapy. By listening actively and empathetically, I help patients feel heard and understood, which is critical in developing effective treatment plans tailored to their unique needs. As a committed provider, I am dedicated to delivering exceptional care that promotes overall well-being and supports each patient's journey toward mental wellness. What is your typical process for working with clients?
I adopt a holistic approach to treatment, recognizing that each patient's journey is distinct and multifaceted. It's built on the incorporation of the latest research and best practices in medication management and psychotherapy. By working closely with patients and their loved ones, I create a comprehensive treatment plan that not only addresses immediate symptoms but is designed to be robust for the long-term. Through education, behavioral interventions, and collaborative care, I aim to foster empowerment and autonomy for all my patients.

I was told to complete intake forms prior to visit. I tried to get these forms for 5 hours from the initial message. I was promised I would receive them. I called 3 different times and responded to each text message saying, “I’ve never received the forms”. 10 minutes prior to my appointment I was sent the forms. I was filling them out and then called to get my video like (which was never sent). Doctor said she couldn’t see me without the forms. I told her I just received them 10 minutes ago after trying for 5 hours and was filling them out. Was told to wait on the video call, continue to fill them out and she would be right back. I was then hung up on. She may be great but her office staff is terrible. I’ll look elsewhere.

This was my first online dr appointment, all I have to say is if you're skeptical and or are having trouble getting medical help or finding a dr. My experience was great and recommend anyone with anxiety issues or running into roadblocks at limited hospitals, getting a fresh set of eyes and ears to hear you out can work wonders for your well being. I felt comfortable with Yemi right away. We came up with a medication plan as my last psychiatric nurse radically changed my meds and when I questioned him on the risks, I was shut down. He wanted me to follow his recommendations and address risks and side effects if they arise. I am an LCSW with 30 years of experience in mental health and patient’s right to address concerns prior to being prescribed a new medication. Mental health should be proactive not reactive. I am looking forward to seeing Yemi again in a few weeks.
