Dr. Omar Ahmed is an otolaryngologist who specializes in disorders of the sinus, skull base and sleep. He has completed a prestigious fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital working with the world’s leading experts in sinus and skull base surgery. His goal is to provide his patients with the best care with a holistic, cutting edge approach. His expertise includes sinus and nasal congestion issues and disorders of the skull base including Cerebrospinal fluid leaks, sinonasal and orbital masses and pituitary tumors. He also has a particular interest in helping patients with obstructive sleep apnea through sleep surgery. He also takes care of general ENT issues such has allergy, tonsillitis, swallowing and voice disorders, disorders of the thyroid, parotid glands, and neck masses. He completed his medical school at the University of Chicago, his residency training at the Baylor College of Medicine, and his fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is excited bring his expertise and take care of patients here in Houston. Dr. Ahmed also has an interest in research and advancing the field of medicine. He has a particular interest in researching chronic sinusitis and outcomes for endoscopic sinus surgery. He also researches sinonasal tumors and outcomes for skull base surgery.

One of the best medical providers I’ve had the privilege to be the patient of. Not only did Dr. Ahmed take the time to really listen to all of my concerns, he was also genuinely caring and very comforting. The staff was also really kind and friendly to be around. As someone who’s normally extremely anxious when it comes to Doctors visits of any kind, I can say with confidence I felt right at home at this facility. Overall, a wonderful experience and I can’t recommend Dr. Ahmed and his staff enough!

When I arrived the office was clean and had a great view. I checked in and was called back within a few minutes. the PA was super friendly and the Dr. himself was also very kind, personable, and easy going. He took the time to answer all of my questions and was good at explaining things to me. he was very patient and seemed to be genuinely interested in helping. would definitely recommend this doctor to anyone !

This physician is wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable and patient. He was very careful to listen to all my concerns, examine me thoroughly, and explain my conditions and the options for my treatment. I was also very impressed by how friendly and appreciative he was towards his nurses and assistants. Just seems like a really smart, cool, nice guy. Would definitely recommend!
