Wow, what a great appointment! The wait wasn't long at all and I was in and out within 30 minutes. I have to say, I'm super impressed. Better yet, the doctor was very pleasant and the front desk was awesome, warm and welcoming. I feel like I've rarely experienced a front desk that nice and friendly so all of this was a pleasant surprise.

Dr. Omid Kohani specializes in the field of cardiovascular disease with great interest in preventive cardiology, diagnostic cardiology, women's heart disease and cardiac risk assessment and risk modification. He manages and treats patients on a daily basis with regards to heart failure, valvular heart disease, hypertension, angina, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, lipid management and adult congenital heart disease. His belief in thorough bedside interview with his patients and physical examination has taken him far in diagnostic capabilities along with the available innovative cardiac imaging tools.
Dr. Kohani graduated summa cum laude with a BA degree in anthropology from Queens College and completed his medical training at Downstate Medical School. Dr. Kohani finished his medical residency at Montefiore Medical Center (Albert Einstein College of Medicine) and then completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC where he was appointed as chief fellow. He is Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and American Society of Echocardiography. In addition, he has successfully completed training and received certification in Cardiac Tomography Angiography (Cardiac CT).
Dr. Kohani is Assistant Clinical Professor at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He has an active interest in clinical research and enjoys teaching medical students and other health professionals.
Dr. Kohani is affiliated with North Shore University Hospital at Manhasset, Long Island Jewish Medical Center and St. Francis Hospital. He sees patients on a daily basis at affiliated hospitals. This allows his patients to have continuous care while hospitalized.

The office was really nice and the people were great! Appointments may need to be scheduled out because some of the services you need may not be able to be done that day which is okay for most. I like to get things over with as soon as possible so I prefer a larger hospital setting but other than that really great cardiology office.

Today was my first time at this office. The office was very modern and clean. Dr. Kohani was super nice and addressed my issues, explaining throughly. What stood out about him was that he actually looks at you while talking, unlike many dr's who pretend to listen while reading papers. I felt very confortable with my visit.

This visit deserves five stars because there was no waiting, I was seen right away. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. I felt very comfortable, being that it was my very first time. The Doctor address all of my questions and concerns, This office was easy to find. There was many parking available (no hassle, free parking). I would recommend this doctor to everybody. Speechless regarding this doctor; it seems to me he doesn’t have sympathy for his patients & your pain; he only keep asking for more test; trying to make you believe that you’re sick which all about making money; he was texting during my test which is not acceptable; I don’t recommend this doctor

I have never been so impressed with a doctor! Dr Kohani listened carefully to me and gave me a better prescription that my primary care doctor! He really cares about his patients and is very thorough and focused when caring for your heart! Don’t think twice when deciding if Dr. Kohani is good? When no Manhattan offices were available I drove to Long Island to get him and I don’t regret it and will continue going to him only!

This is my first time at this office and I can tell that this doctor is thorough. He asked me to come back so he can preform a stress test and also to put on a hear monitor to see how my heart behaves throughout the day. He is very reassuring, kind, and professional. I have no complaints! I was honestly impressed by my visit. The office smelled amazing and it is sparkling clean in the lobby. The front desk person was friendly and very on top of her game. She really tried to make appointments that worked around my busy schedule. The young lady that did my ekg was hilarious. I think she likes to say funny things to make the patients feel more calm. And lastly, the doctor was a great listener. He didnt seem uninterested or rushed. He smiled and made eye contact with me when i spoke. I highly recommend him.
