About Dr. Nimish Dharia
Nimish Dharia, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist and internist who prevents, diagnoses, and treats cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks, rhythm disturbances, and cardiovascular risk factors including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
Dr. Dharia earned his Doctor of Medicine from Albany Medical College and completed his undergraduate studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He pursued a career in healthcare to add meaningful value to those around him, improving lives by being empathetic and informative. He also enjoys the pursuit of lifelong learning, constantly educated by both clinical trials and his patients.
His approach and philosophy to patient care is that of equal partnership. ?I attempt to understand and learn from my patient's situation and jointly come up with a treatment plan,? he says. He loves being a physician and enjoys interacting with different types of people and learning something new every day. Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Dharia loves spending time with his wife of 23 years, his 19-year-old son, and 17-year-old daughter. They enjoy swimming, biking, skiing, and hanging out as a family. Among his other interests is a passion for preventive care, particularly discussing obesity and substance abuse.

Care was good but very long wait for stress test if necessary. Was necessary for myself. Diagnosis was observant an follow up procedures were recommended. Outside of the wait for special exams I’m very glad I made the appointment.
