Dr. Orit Markowitz, MD, FAAD, board-certified dermatologist and noninvasive skin care expert. Founder/CEO of OptiSkin, she champions "cutting edge without the cutting"—using dermoscopy, imaging, and biostimulation for early, gentle detection and management of skin conditions, minimizing biopsies, scars, and invasive procedures while prioritizing comfort.
Pioneer in dermoscopy and noninvasive skin cancer detection, she authored A Practical Guide to Dermoscopy with her innovative "color wheel" method for complex diagnoses. Leadership roles: Chief of Dermatology at Queens Hospital Center; Head of Pigmented Lesions/Skin Cancer at Brooklyn VA (Downstate); Director of Pigmented Lesions/Skin Cancer at Mount Sinai Dermatology (15+ years).
