The wait time was rather long. The provider was rather distant and not so much personable. I prefer my providers to have some sense of humor or at least smile accordingly. Her interpersonal skills need to be improved. The front office staff was not very welcoming.

I was seen by Veronica. She was great. If you’re looking for a straight forward annual women’s exam, this place is great. I was just off put by the first woman who saw me and did the initial assessment. She asked my medical history and I shared that I have a history of anxiety and depression, she then went on about how “No, you didn’t have that... it’s just all in the mind” which was really shocking and personally hurtful/triggering in all my years with healthcare professionals who’ve assessed my history. I’m disappointed by the interaction but I would consider going there since I’d only need to be seen once a year, they take my insurance and it’s close to where I live.

Very uncomfortable with this doctor. I was waiting for way too long just for what I was told was a consultation. The consultitation ended up in me being forced to do a pap smear. When I finally got into the office I was rushed by the doctor and basically forced to make a choice to do a natural labor. This lady wouldnt let me express my concerns or the fact that my first child was high risk and breech. She rushed me out of the room and sent me down the hall to get bloodwork done. She writes me a prescription for what I was told was prenatal vitamins.......when I got to the pharmacy and opened the bag of the "prenatal vitamins" much to my surprise Dr Escobar prescribed a dietary supplement for lactating women. I am perfectly healthy except for currently having a cold. I eat a lot and I am very active. I do not need a medication that has never even been heard of to be prescribed to me by a doctor who was too much in a rush to care. I refuse to take this medication. I went to this doctor once and that was the first and last time I will ever go to them again. I even checked multiple websites for the information on the pill bottle and it can't be found anywhere. HEADS UP if you choose to go here just know you will be rushed and you will not get a word in at all.

you have to tell the what to do for you. It takes 3 weeks for blood results which I had never had to wait more than a week with my previous GYN

I honestly felt she barely dedicated time to me. I voiced my concerns and got the shortest few words back from her. Then I went for an ultrasound I needed at her other location and was asked to go back the next day for results which is very frustrating. I went in during my scheduled time and her reception staff was extremely rude and said she was out to lunch and I would simply have to wait. Needless to say after that I never went back.

IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD!! This mid-wife violated my patient rights and caused me to have a Dyfus case 2 days after giving birth her and her staff tested me twice for substance abuse like I was a drug addict w/o my knowledge racially profiling me using me like a science experiment instead of coming to me like normal doctor and informing me of she would be doing she continued to test me and instead of helping me with what she found she patiently waited for me to give birth to then make life hard for me and my family I have been unable to enjoy my new baby because of the damage she has caused. Causing postpartum depression more than ever..there is so much more to this story and it still continues PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO TO PAOLA ESCOBAR SHE IS NO GOOD!!!!

Dr. Escobar was good but unfortunately I just don't get a comforting vibe off of her. She's very polite but I feel she's often ready to run out the door whenever I see her. I also don't feel she is providing me the right information to help me conquer the issue I'm having. As I said, she is polite and her staff is friendly but I just don't think she's right for me anymore. I don't get that comforting vibe you're supposed to have with your doctor.

Paola Escobar relies heavily on other nurses for work she can clearly do herself, which made the interaction more formal and impersonal than one expects of an OB/GYN. One example- she had another nurse or assistant stand in the room the entire 30 minutes only to pass her a single item. When I asked if it was necessary for two people to do the examination, she said yes. It was awkward because the assistant clearly knew she didn't need to be there. Paola was cold and short-spoken. She didn't read my form, and asked questions like, "how long have you been in this relationship?" and "when are you planning on having kids?" after I wrote that I'm not currently in a relationship and do not plan on having children.
The nurses I met with before Paola, rushed me in and out of different rooms to get my weight and blood pressure, at times so quickly I couldn't find my way to the room. All of the nurses, including Paola, were incoherent and spoke in a rushed manner.
After the exam, Paola abruptly left the room. When I realized the appointment was over (it was unclear because her only instruction was that I can get dressed), I asked her when I could expect my results.
Paola insisted only a follow up appointment would allow me to get them. I don't feel confident in her medical analyses nor did I feel comfortable with her cold evaluation. I will not be making another appointment with her. I asked if she could instead let me know if it were necessary once she received the results (if all is fine, I won't need to come in). Would she simply confirm that if there were a health issue, I would be informed? (I would then make an appointment -with another person- and come in). Her response, "I have 4,000 patients," only shows the practice has taken on more than they can handle with care. Paola tried insisting I come back and pay for another appointment after I told her it was a difficult time for me, financially. It wasn't until after I called the other office that someone, Lisa, finally reassured me I'd learn my results.
When someone pays for a test, the appointment, and procedure, should she not receive the results? I wasn't asking for an analysis, I simply wanted to know "positive or negative" for the four tests-- these tests will determine important aspects of my health.
"I have 4,000 patients."
This is a for-profit institute with no shortage of resources. That was a poor excuse.

I really wanted to like Paola but the appointment start to finish was not good experience.
1. In my notes to the doctor I requested a sonogram and asked to be called if it was possible. No one called.
2. I arrived at 1pm (on time) with my 2 young children and someone gestured to the sign-in sheet. NO ONE greeted me, asked me questions, gave me forms until 2:10PM (all other patients, even those who arrived after me had been called in) when someone finally took my insurance cards and had me check forms I completed online. At 2:37 I was given more forms. At 2:40 someone took my vitals & weight when we moved into a HALLWAY with chairs. YES, I took notes with these times because I couldn't believe what was going down. At 2:55 I was in the exam room pant-less with a paper sheet waiting for Paola to come in.
Paola answered questions and was pleasant enough and informative. She seemed annoyed by my well-behaved children--who tried asking her questions/telling her things and she dismissed them. I know we were there for me, but for someone who delivers babies, I would've expected a little more warmth. My experience was doomed to fail upon entry, but after her interactions with them, my discernment took over.
Lastly, the assistant (?!) who set up 'future appointments gave me some kind of nonsense about how my insurance wouldn't allow me to have another appointment with a sonogram for another 2 weeks off-site, then yet another appointment would be scheduled for the explanation of the results. (Really--I'm pregnant...wait another week to know if there was a healthy baby growing)? Ridiculousness. THEN, if that weren't enough, I asked her if this extreme wait time was typical for this office. She said--point blank--yes.
Thank goodness I found another Midwife just in time. I was able to cancel future appointments and explain that I chose another practice.

She's amazing.
The waiting room is a different story. The first tme I waited a total of apx forty minutes.
The second time she had a delivery and came late. That's normal for a midwife:).
Problem number one: they did not call those who had appointments so that would automatically increase wait time for over an hour, the amount of time she was late.
Problem two: I discovered that they overbook.
Problem three: their policy allows patients with appointments to sign in at any time and patients are taken on by order of arrival. Meaning to say, in the morning you will find a bunch of ppl in waiting room who have later appointments during the day as in 10:00, 11:00 but arrive early and they are seen in the order of arrival. So those that were organized enough to book appointments in
advance to get the time slot they want can end up waiting very long because others who diddid not have an appointment in the morning arrived before them. I have never seen this at other doctors' offices. Insane !
Due to all of theabove , When I came in for a9:30 appointment (office opens at 9) there were 10 ppl ahead of me.(paula came in after 10)I wasn't seen till close to 12...
I was told that the morning is crazy because of this but after 12 there's very minimal wait time.
The office staff are very nice and Paula is great. They've got to change their policies.

Such a calm office with caring people from the receptionist to the medical assistant. Ms. Escobar listened to my partner and I. We didn't feel bombarded or rushed in our appointment regarding the birth of our little one. We felt comfortable asking questions and she had some really great things to say about choices we should think about making, with things to consider. We feel lucky that she was recommended to us. Looking at other first appointments we have had in finding a midwife, they were so stressful and even unprofessional compared to Ms. Escobar and her office. We highly recommend!!!
