About Dr. Parisa Khorsandi
Dr. Parisa Khorsandi has been a Board Certified Pediatrician for more than two decades. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the prestigious program at LIJ-Northshore Children's Hospital in New York, where she had the opportunity to train under some of the most renowned leaders in various pediatric specialties. She has also conducted extensive research at New York Hospital at Cornell and NYU in the fields of Pediatrics, AIDS, and Infectious Diseases.
Before establishing her successful private practice, Dr. Khorsandi served as Chief of Pediatrics and managed the Pediatrics department and the Pediatrics urgent care of a large IPA. She gained valuable expertise in managing tough Pediatric emergencies, as well as the unique experience of working with abused and neglected children and battered women. She served as the front-line consultant for the county of Los Angeles for placing foster children and often had to visit the abused children in the field.
“Dr. Parisa,” as her patients refer to her, values the close relationships she has with all of the families and is honored to be such an integral part of their lives and an extension of their families. She knows each patient personally and strives to create an atmosphere of calm for each new parent. At her office, your child is the center of attention, and you decide on the management together with your MD it is really a collaborative approach between your physician and you! Dr. Khorsandi emphasizes calm parenting and supports you through your parenting journey. As a mother of three wonderful children, she knows the challenges and joys of parenthood. The website told us that our insurance was covered. We booked the appointment a week ago because of this. They call the day of and say it will be $150 because the insurance sometimes doesn’t pay… what? We then call the insurance only to find that they are not actually in network. Not sure how this is happening. Of course we spent the money to have our son looked at. The time and money I wasted here is why I will never recommend, I’m not sure why the website would say they are in network when they are. Feels scammish. Very unsatisfactory. Will be following up with Yelp/ Google reviews as well.
