About Dr. Patricia Schultz
Dr. Patricia Schultz has been practicing Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in solo practice for many years. She has extensive experience in both hospital and clinic settings in DC and MD. Her office offers a relaxed, genial setting.
Dr. Schultz earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed her residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. She pursued her interest in podiatric dermatology and served as Vice President of the American Society of Podiatric Dermatology until its activities ended in 2016. She continues to advance her knowledge in foot dermatology through ongoing continuing education.
She became Board Certified in Podiatric Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in 1991 and has been recertified twice since. Currently, she performs dermatological procedures.
Dr. Schultz treats patients of all ages, young and old, and excels at diagnosing complex cases through thorough discussion of the patient's concerns and medical history, taking time to address each individual's needs.
Her special interests include biomechanical evaluations of patients' structural, functional, and gait difficulties, with particular attention to their medical and physical concerns. The office offers a wide range of orthotic and pedorthic services, including custom functional orthotic devices made to the exact specifications of the patient's foot.
Dr. Schultz gives special attention to her diabetic patients by providing diagnostic and preventive care through regular appointments. She also participates in the therapeutic shoe program of Medicare.
A New Jersey native, Dr. Schultz has lived in Silver Spring, MD, for over 40 years, where she raised two children and participated in a variety of community activities.

Had a follow up appointment. Waited nearly two hours after my scheduled appointment time without being seen because I had another appointment after. Never was told the doctor was running behind and was left just waiting in the room. When I told the front desk I had to leave soon, she told me another 10 minutes, I waited another 30 and still was not seen. The doctor was nice, but has no communication skills or time management. If it was communicated to me I would have been understanding but I was left waiting and now unseen. I will not return.

Dr Schultz takes her time with you, explaining everything in great detail and demonstrating what’s wrong. She’s personable and very thorough. Wait times can be long, but that’s because she’s giving each patient detailed care and asking a lot of questions.

Most importantly, Dr. Schultz was also thorough in addressing my specific concerns and took the time to collect a specimen for testing. I appreciate her consideration of more than just appearance - she stated her intention of getting to the root of the issue and I am confident she will!
I am so grateful to have found Dr. Schultz and my only regret is that I didn’t do so earlier.
