Dr. Masters, a San Antonio native, attended Central Catholic High School and then St. Mary’s University. He has spent nearly two decades caring for patients with gastrointestinal diseases and during this time has gained interest and expertise in managing patients with gastrointestinal visceral neuropathy and motility disorders. He is one of only a few physicians trained and authorized in the United States to use advanced techniques for managing patients with gastric emptying disorders, such as the recently developed Enterra Gastric Neurostimulator to treat gastroparesis. His interests also include management of sphincter of Oddi disorders. He and his wife, Kathy, are proud parents of several children. Dr. Masters is a strong supporter of Cross Trail Outfitters a local youth ministry and is an avid outdoorsman with a long love for hunting and fishing.

As a new patient, I had completed their questionnaire online and only had two documents to sign when I checked in. My wait as only a matter of a few minutes until I was called in to an examination room, 15 minutes before my appointment time. The nurse took vitals and asked a number of questions related to my visit and completed it within 15 minutes and right on my appointment time. Dr. Masters came in within 5 minutes and professionally went through questions and answers culminating in a suggested treatment and then took me to the appointment desk where my next appointment was arranged. My total time in their office was about 55 minutes and wait time during that totaled 10 minutes are less. I am quite satisfied with the Dr. Masters and his office.

This doctor is the most highly qualified physician I have ever used. Dr. Masters makes you feel comfortable in allowing you time for all questions and very informative answers in which you can understand. He explains the situation in terms which is our language and not physician talk. This doctor does not rush you through your visit so that you do receive all answers needed before leaving your room. I also must say that this doctor saved my husbands life by knowing his problem that other physicians could not figure out, thank you!
