What should a new client know about working with you?
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your unique needs, integrating therapy, medication management when appropriate, and practical tools to foster resilience. My approach is collaborative, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space to address your challenges, harness your strengths, and achieve lasting wellness.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
A typical session with me would take place remotely from the comfort of your own home. I always check in with my patients and want to hear about what's going on in their lives. I enjoy celebrating your achievements with you and help problem solve any issues you may be experiencing. Our meetings are always confidential and it's a safe place to talk about any issues you are having. If you make the decision to start medication therapy, I like to follow up with my patients in a few weeks to assess medication effectiveness and address any ongoing needs. When a client feels they become stable I typically follow up with the patient once every few months.
Taking the first step toward help takes immense courage, and I deeply respect your strength in considering it. With empathy at the core of my practice, I’m dedicated to listening to your story and supporting you without judgment. Got straight to the point! I knew what I needed already and he let me tell him without arguing or anything. I know what medication I need, and he gladly prescribed it to me because we both, after a quick conversation, understand why I'm doing so well on my current meds.
Also, he doesn't charge extra if your pharmacy puts up a fuss, so he's already better than my last doctor.
