Physician Assistant (Psychiatry)
IL
I am a board-certified Physician Assistant who believes in treating the whole person — mind and body — and fostering a collaborative environment where patients feel empowered to take an active role in their care. Mental health is not a one-size-fits-all experience. My approach emphasizes individualized treatment, realistic and attainable goals, and meeting patients where they are while balancing complex emotional experiences and everyday stress. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Physiology, with a minor in Health Promotion, from Michigan State University, graduating with distinction. I then earned my Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. My past personal and clinical experiences shape my approach to patient care and reinforce the importance of understanding each person's circumstances, perspectives, and readiness for change. My past clinical experience includes psychiatric medication management, brief psychotherapy, and administration of interventional treatments such as Spravato and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). I work with adolescents age 12+ and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions, including mood, anxiety, developmental, and personality disorders. I have special interest in borderline personality disorder, autism and women's mental health. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and committed to providing inclusive care to every patient. Above all, I believe you are more than a diagnosis. I strive to create a space where patients feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I am passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health, challenging negative perceptions, and helping individuals develop a better understanding of themselves. My goal is to work alongside patients as they navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and find a path toward meaningful and sustainable improvement.
