“The doctor and support staff were very nice, but the appointment certainly felt rushed. I'm sure this isn't their fault and that they are required to see a certain number of appointments per day, but I wish they didn't have to turn rooms over so quickly so that the doctor actually had time to talk to the patients.”

About Dr. Peggy Liao
Dr. Peggy Liao joined the Denver Skin Clinic in 2010. She completed a dermatology residency at the University of Michigan after attending medical school at Duke University, and graduating summa cum laude with a B.S. degree in Biochemistry at the University of Michigan. She is a volunteer Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Colorado, and also volunteers at the Stout Street Clinic providing dermatology care for the underprivileged. Dr. Liao is a board certified dermatologist and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. In her spare time, she likes to travel, read, root for her favorite college teams (Go Blue, Go Duke & Go Irish!) and partake in the many great outdoor activities in Colorado, including hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cruiser bike riding and camping.

2 minute examination. Took 0 pictures of any freckles/moles, did not look at any of them through a magnifying lens. Front desk did not bill insurance for the exam so I received a hefty bill, called their corporate office and they said that this office has done this repeatedly recently - failing to even submit the exam to insurance. I likely will not return.

Dr. Liao is clearly a well-trained medical professional for serious skin concerns, but my experience felt rushed and impersonal. The office was disorganized, asking me to re-fill forms I’d already completed. When I mentioned a biopsy from my dermatologist in Mexico City, the nurse’s tone shifted and said “we don’t do that” when asked to interpret the results — even after I provided the translation. Dr. Liao’s full-body exam was quick, her feedback on my skincare regimen minimal, and questions about treatments like Kybella were deferred despite promotional material in the room. Compared to the thorough, patient-centered care I receive in Mexico City, this felt transactional. I left feeling more like a number than a patient.
