Getting to know Peter Njogu

For patients with AHCCCS insurance, we are currently in network only with ALTCS and TRBHA plans. Thank you. I'm Peter Njogu, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master's degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Walden University. My passion lies in providing exceptional psychiatric care to individuals in need. With over 20 years of experience across diverse healthcare settings-including outpatient behavioral clinics, geriatric psychiatric hospitals, long-term care facilities, and crisis interventions for patients with substance use disorders-each encounter has deepened my understanding and strengthened my dedication to psychiatric care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I focus on keeping my patients healthy and providing top-notch care. I treat various conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and substance abuse. My goal is to improve your mental health through medication and treatment options.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the initial session, my approach is centered around understanding you and your treatment objectives. I prioritize person-centered care, always keeping your needs at the forefront to support your success. I allocate ample time for you to ask questions and express any worries you may have. For clients already on medications, my approach remains consistent. Our sessions are primarily focused on evaluating the effectiveness of the current medication regimen, making any necessary adjustments, and addressing any concerns or questions you may have about your medication.
