I had a very swollen hand and was in a lot of pain. A few days prior to seeing Dr. Stein, I went to Urgent Care. Had X-rays done and nothing was broken. Dr. prescribed antibiotics. Nothing helped. Called Dr. Stein office Monday morning and had an appointment within a few hours. I was in and out in 1/2 hour. Had X-rays done and it was a calcium deposit. Dr. Stein gave me a cortisone shot and said to stop taking the antibiotics. I mentioned to the Doctor at Urgent Care that I thought it might be a calcium deposit and he said no. A day after seeing Dr. Stein my hand is just slightly swollen and I spent the day gardening!

Dr. Stein is a very knowledgeable & professional doctor and one of the two best orthopedic surgeons I’ve met in over 3 decades. He’s kind, friendly and explained everything clearly. I went to him to get a second opinion because I was told that my wrist fracture will not heal without surgery. He reassured me that I didn’t surgery and my wrist was healing well. It was a relief! He’s a patient listener, has a sense of humor and does not rush like most doctors. I recommend him highly to anyone with a hand or wrist injury.
