About Dr. Phani Bodavula

Dr. Phani Bodavula is a board-certified pediatrician with over 15 years of pediatric experience. Specializing in pediatric and adolescent medicine, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in treating his patients. Dr. Bodavula completed his medical school in 2006. Dr. Bodavula attended residency training at Children's Hospital of New Jersey/Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
Since then, he has had the opportunity to work in different settings, including both inpatient and outpatient pediatrics. Dr. Bodavula has worked as an inpatient hospitalist at Medical Center Hospital in West Texas, where he welcomed the opportunity to teach both medical students and residents from Texas Tech University. Most recently, he has had the privilege of working at Parkland Community health clinics. Ultimately, Dr. Bodavula joined a pediatric clinic in Garland, established in 2002 proudly serving communities of Garland, Mesquite, Sunnyvale, and surrounding neighborhoods.
In his spare time, Dr. Bodavula enjoys spending time with his wife and four-year-old son here in Plano, TX. He is also an avid table tennis player and enjoys traveling. His clinical interests include Newborn Care, asthma management and pediatric infectious diseases. Dr. Bodavula is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Texas pediatric Society, Texas Medical Association and Dallas County Medical Society.

This was our first time seeing this pediatrician which I found on zoc doc. I met the doctor himself and his wife who is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. It was a great experience, the staff was friendly and the wait time was less than 30 mins. This is great for a new patient visit. What I liked the most is that both the doctors wife (NP) and the doctor came to see my grandson and took their time to assess the baby as well as answer any questions or concerns we had. We did not feel rushed and they were both very professional, kind, and through with everything. I would highly recommend Dr. Bodavula and his wife to anyone looking for a great pediatrician!
