Phillip Milgram MD is dedicated his life to the service of others and is first: a patient advocate. He is a member of the attending staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla. His “Ten Suggestions-Medicine to a Higher Level” are widely quoted. He is a practitioner of what he calls “Enlightened Medicine”; using all the evidence-based knowledge—Eastern/Western, Ancient/Future, evolving Technology, Allopathic and Alternative Medicine; in patient care. He believes in the early detection of disease and providing the body with what it requires to heal itself. He is Board Certified in Ob/Gyn and re-certified in 2012, a Certified Prevention Specialist and member of many groups and societies.
Dr. Milgram founded A Lady’s Doctor Medical Clinic in 1980, the Southern California LASER Surgery Institute (now Head to Toe Laser) in 1984, Anti-Aging San Diego in 2004 He also is co-founder of The Society for Integrative Age Management Medicine (SIAMM), and is a member of the Society for Improving Diagnosis in Medicine. He was the medical editor of a website dedicated to scrutiny of the value of representations of nutritional supplements and alternative medicine therapies, and is a medical consultant for Infinite Vitality. He has three Counseling degrees from UCSD.He is the Medical Director of the Soledad House women’s recovery home, and the President of the San Diego Chapter of SoPE, the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs.

I absolutely love Dr. Milgram and his wife whom also works there. He genuinely cares anout your well being and doesnt just want to give you meds and move on. They are very out going people and truly made me feel comfortable. I wish Dr. Milgram still delivered because in a heart beat, he would be the one to do it. I am pregnant with my first child, and this was the worst experience I could have imagined! I scheduled my appt through zocdoc and got a confirmation email, but the receptionist had no idea I was coming. Despite this, the doctor was still able to see me after I filled out my paperwork. While filling out the paperwork, I signed for acknowledgement of HIPPA although I had not received it. When I brought this to the attention of the receptionist, she stumbled for a copy of the privacy policy, which was never provided. The doctor had terrible bedside manor, made distasteful jokes, and was unable to relay information adequately. I never saw the doctor chart my vitals, my weight was never taken, and the doctor was extremely disorganized. At the end of the visit, I got a prescription for my prenatal vitamins, with a food stain on it! I asked the receptionist for a receipt to submit to insurance. What I got was a piece of paper she typed up on MS Word, with one sentence stating I had been seen. If he can't run an office efficiently, I definitely don't want him delivering my baby.

Dr. Milgram is a very accomplished doctor. He made me feel comfortable and he listened to me. I did not feel rushed. I really feel like he cared about my health. His nurse is also very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend Dr. Milgram.

Very educational and thorough with visit, and very welcoming to help. I have been through hell and back with doctors who could care less about my health and more about the change in my pocket. Dr. Milgram had put faith into my heart about health care and doctors. He also cracked a few jokes to make the situation more lively.I was very pleased to have met him and had the opportunity to get aquatinted with him.

Dr. Milgram was very knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. He listened to all my concerns, answered my questions, and made me feel comfortable. The wait time was a little longer than expected, but the nurse and Dr. Milgram both acknowledged and apologized for it numerous times.
