About Dr. Praymal Thakrar

Dr. Thakrar graduated from Texas A&M University in 2000 with a BBA in Information and Operations Management. In 2004 Dr. Thakrar went back to school to pursue a career in Medicine, completing his MD degree in 2008. With a passion of taking care of patients of all ages and all levels of complexity, Dr. Thakrar completed a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatric residency at the Medical College of Virginia in 2012. From 2011 to 2012, Dr. Thakrar served as Chief Resident. After completing his training, Dr. Thakrar relocated back to Houston, TX. He is currently on staff at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital, Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital, and Houston Northwest Medical Center. In January of 2015, Dr. Thakrar founded Lone Star Medicine and Pediatrics with a focus on preventative medicine for patients of all ages; he is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

This is our first visit with Dr. Thakrar, and he was friendly, attentive, and had great bedside manners. The front desk was also friendly and efficient. We were seen fairly quickly and plan on coming back for more pediatric visits.
