Dr. Priti Batta is a fellowship-trained, board-certified ophthalmologist affiliated with the Manhattan-based New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, one of the most well-respected eye hospitals in the country. There she is active in the ophthalmology residency training program, teaching the residents both clinical and surgical skills. She sees patients primarily in Mineola, NY, at a satellite office of New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Batta offers sub-specialty expertise, a well-respected academic affiliation, and a physician work ethic dedicated to the well-being of her patients.
In order to pursue her medical degree, Dr. Batta attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, graduating with the highest academic honors. She continued her medical education with an internship at NYU Medical Center. Dr. Batta underwent ophthalmology residency training at the New England Eye Center, part of Tufts Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. She then completed a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago. She is currently part of the full-time attending faculty staff at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She is involved in research projects, and has authored several research publications and academic book chapters.

She performs cataracts surgery, refractive surgery, corneal transplants, minor eyelid procedures, and glaucoma laser procedures. The actual size of the clinic is surprisingly immense - endless space for offices and labs, truly impressive! However, not as amazing as the actual staff and Dr. Batta! The office was and felt super clean. The attending person ( who checked me in and dilated my pupils before she came) was lovely. Lucas was his name. I felt connected with him more than Dr. Batta , however she was lovely and thorough as well; I didn’t feel rushed or anything. I had numerous questions and she answered all all while putting my concerns at bay. I will be a long time patient with her and that office. I enjoyed everything about my experience

I really liked Dr. Batta and plan to bring my mother to see her as well (but in their Mineola office). The wait time in the Worth Street office was not respectful of people's time. They should book less people to minimize the wait time.

Dr. Batta was pleasant and very professional in her interaction with me. Instead of making me wait, Dr. Batta allowed me to ask questions before she provided me with the information, she thought that I should know. Additionally, she provided me with all options (positive and negative) for the surgery I am planning to have and after I indicated that I wasn’t sure what I should do then provided her recommendation with her rationale for that decision. Finally, Dr. Batta reassured me that this type of surgery has a low risk that if there were to be a complication, her office has doctors available with the necessary expertise to assist me if needed.

Saw Dr. Batta twice, and both times I had to wait for over an hour. Dr. Batta was nice and quite thorough, didn't rush me out (lasted about 10-15 minutes each visit), but the wait time was really unreasonable. Seeing that i had to wait so long for both visits, I wonder if she's always overbooked.

She is a great eye surgeon. She is thorough, provides clear diagnosis and recommendations. She performed my cataract surgery and has been my eye doctor for a couple of years. She answered all my questions and concerns and made me feel safe and taken care of. I highly recommend her for any cornea related issues.

Waited about 45 minutes, then waited again for about 15 minutes after the pre-screening. Doctor was fine got in and out very quickly, couldn't help me with a contact prescription because they're "in between" ophthalmologists who perform that, which sounds like insanity for an eye doctor. All and all wasn't bad but nothing about it makes me want to go back/recommend to others.
