Dr Farley has been my dermatologist for many years. My husband and I make our appointments back to back and see Dr Farley together. This year we were told that we couldn’t because of
COVID. However COVID was a factor last year and we were able to have our appointments together. My husband had to go wait in the car while I had my appointment because the waiting room had too many patients in it. There were 2 other patients. The receptionist was rude and not very accommodating. If we didn’t like and respect Dr Farley we would consider finding a new dermatologist. At this point in the COVID epidemic I feel the receptionist should have at least asked the doctor if it was okay. She told us we should have called to make the appointment and requested the appointment for both of us together.

Rachel Farley-Loftus, M.D. is a board certified dermatologist. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then received her Medical Degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and was the recipient of the Albert B. Knapp Scholarship for Highest Academic Achievement.
Dr. Farley-Loftus completed her internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center and her dermatology residency at New York University Langone Medical Center in New York, where she subsequently joined the faculty and supervised dermatology residents in the Skin and Cancer Unit. She has published many manuscripts in peer reviewed medical journals.
Expert NJ Dermatologist, Dr. Farley-Loftus is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of the attending staff at Hackensack UMC Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, N.J. She specializes in general dermatology for adults and children in Livingston, NJ, with particular interests in the treatment of acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, skin cancer screening and treatment, Botox and dermal fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm and Belotero.
Raised in New Jersey in Essex and Monmouth Counties, Dr. Farley-Loftus now resides in Glen Ridge with her husband and two children. In addition to serving her local community, she enjoys running, gardening, and the occasional friendly tennis match.
