About Dr. Benjamin Reinhardt
Dr. Benjamin Reinhardt is a board-certified dermatologist who has been practicing in New York City since completing residency. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Stanford University in California. He then completed his medical degree and internship at Baylor College of Medicine in his hometown of Houston, TX. During his residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, he gained experience in treating diverse conditions of all skin types. Since moving to New York City, Dr. Reinhardt has seen patients of all ages and is excited to join the Dermatology Specialists.
While diagnosis and treatment may be the goal, Dr. Reinhardt understands that listening and communication are just as important in caring for a patient. Dr. Reinhardt values each of his patient relationships and strives to provide the most comprehensive care that he can as a dermatologist. Dr. Reinhardt treats a wide range of skin conditions with special interests in skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, acne, and hair loss.
In his spare time, Dr. Reinhardt is an avid cellist. His favorite composer is Debussy, although this often changes. He enjoys reading, traveling, exploring the city and trying new food, and learning Mandarin with his wife, who is also his Mandarin teacher.

It felt like Dr. Reinhardt was very close-minded, because he spent minimal time considering my physical condition and my past experience before making a conclusion that he seemed 100% confident in even though it went against my own explanations of my condition, my experience and the research that I’ve done to understand what’s going on with my body.

I was left waiting for an hour for my appointment. I had to ask twice about when I would be seen. I had to reschedule because it took so long.
I rescheduled for one time on a different day and got a confirmation text. The day of my appointment, the office changed my confirmed time without notifying me. It wasn’t a great experience and unfortunately I will not be returning.

It was my very first visit to the office. Everyone was pleasant, from reception to the medical assistant to the doctor. I didn’t wait long at all to be seen and I was greeted by friendly faces. I came to remove a cyst and I felt at ease, which never happens when I’m at a doctors office. Honestly one of the best doctor visits I’ve ever had. Highly recommended.
