What should a new client know about working with you?

You can come in as you are. My background in emergency and crisis care means I have worked with people in some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and I have never found a concern too complicated, or too small, to take seriously. I ask thorough questions, listen carefully, and share my thinking in clear, plain language. We make decisions together at a pace that feels right for you. If you have been putting off getting help because you were unsure what to expect, or worried about being judged, that is exactly the kind of appointment I am here for.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first visit is a thorough initial evaluation, usually 60 minutes. I take time to understand your full story: current symptoms and timeline, relevant medical history, past treatments, current medications, and what you actually want to feel or function differently. We then talk through what I am seeing clinically and the full range of options available to you, including medication and lifestyle factors like sleep and stress. We agree on a plan with specific, concrete goals, for example: fewer panic episodes, steadier mood, better sleep, or more consistent functioning at work. Follow-up visits track progress against those goals. If things are not moving in the right direction, we figure out why and adjust. You will not be left managing changes on your own between visits.
