Raj Desai, MD, FAAPMR, is a double-board certified physician in physical medicine and rehabilitation and pain medicine. After his undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Desai earned a medical degree at the American University of Antigua in Antigua and Barbuda. He served an internship in internal medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai at Mount Sinai Queens in Queens, New York. Dr. Desai later served as a resident physician and then chief resident at Northwestern Medicine Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton, Illinois, and completed a pain medicine fellowship at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wisconsin. Among his professional pursuits, Dr. Desai was co-founder of a brain injury tele-rehabilitation clinic at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital; pain medicine physician consultant; interventional pain physician; and physiatrist. When not in the office, Dr. Desai likes to remain active and adventurous. He enjoys biking, hiking, and boxing, as well as spending time with his family and tasting a wide range of culinary cuisines.
