What is your typical process for working with clients?
As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), my typical process for working with clients involves several vital steps to ensure comprehensive and individualized care. Here is an outline of my process:
Initial Contact and Appointment Scheduling:
My team and I handle appointment scheduling, ensuring that clients are seen promptly based on the urgency of their needs.
Intake Assessment:
During the first visit, I conduct a thorough intake assessment, including collecting detailed information about the client's medical history, psychiatric history, current symptoms, and any relevant social or family history.
I also review any previous treatment records if available.
Developing a Treatment Plan:
Based on the initial assessment, I collaborate with the client to develop an individualized treatment plan.
This plan may include medication management, psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, and other necessary interventions.
Medication Management:
If medication is part of the treatment plan, I educate patients about the prescribed medications, including their benefits, potential side effects, and importance.
I schedule follow-up appointments to monitor the client's response to medication, making adjustments as necessary.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Referrals to specialized therapists or support groups are made if additional support is needed.
Follow-Up and Monitoring:
Regular follow-up appointments are scheduled to monitor progress, address any concerns, and adjust the treatment plan as needed.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

She was a great listener I just didn’t feel
comfortable that she pulled my records of over 10 years back and reviewed every detail and wanted a check up appointment in two weeks of appointment, in addition to a monthly check in. This was not in network so it was hard for me to keep up with the cost. The manner of communication was a bit off putting in the sense that there wasn’t an actual office. A lot of personal texts and medical information over text very different, efficient and thorough but did not work with my schedule or budget. I would recommend to someone who has the budget and time for a 1 hour appointment.

Today I had an appointment at 1:00 p.m. I waited here for a full 35 minutes and my doctor was a no-show. No phone call was given no nothing and I am disappointed. I'm in need of prescription refills and I didn't get anywhere with the doctor that I seen on the previous day.
