“The doctor and his staff were very friendly, but their location in a wing of an old apartment building and the lack of space and cleanliness left much to be desired. As well, I waited THREE HOURS to get in and out despite having made an appointment days in advance. Slow, low-tech office, but convenient location in Washington Heights. ”

The Doctor & His Staff Were The Best I've Encountered In Many Years

Do not go here if you have a medical problem. I'm a 28 year old who was complaining of severe back pain (later diagnosed by a good back specialist as 2 herniated discs, a pinched nerve, and several strained muscles). Dr. Moquete told me to take heavy duty pain meds for a month and to come back after that to see him. He would check my blood to see if he could figure out the problem. When I said the pain was so bad that I didn't want to stay on drugs for another month without any other measures being taken, he said that's what he thought was best. When another scary medical issue arose a week later, I called the dr. and his assistant asked me to describe the problem so he could relay it to the doctor. Another assistant called me hours later to tell me to go to the emergency room. She couldn't tell me exactly why, so I had to stronghold her into getting the actual doctor to call his patient to deliver lighthearted news like, "go to the emergency room because you could be internally bleeding." After that conversation, I have not been able to talk to the doctor, only to his assistants. The pain meds were part of the emergency problem, so I called to get a referral to see a back specialist in order to fix the main problem I had originally come in for, which would fix all subsequent problems. Had to call everyday for at least a week and a half to finally get a simple referral, plus some unnecessary sass from the assistant. To summarize, if you want a doctor's note so your child can go to camp, they might be able to help you between naps, but if you want actual help, go somewhere else!
