About Dr. Raymond Lau
We are a new Primary Care Physician office in Lower Manhattan accepting new patients for preventative and chronic care. We also see patients age 6 and above for various acute illnesses and can generate specialty referrals.
Dr. Raymond Lau earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his residency in Family Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Medical Center.

I set the appointment 2 weeks prior, and was excited to meet a new Doctor for my yearly physical. On Zocdoc my primary and secondary insurance was listed. Unfortunately I was not seen. The assistants at the front desk, seemed like they did not want to help me understand why my secondary insurance would not be accepted. I felt that the office did not want to explain, and simply said I cannot see the doctor. The office did not feel welcoming.

Best doctor's experience I've ever had. Dr. Lau is very easygoing and explains things well enough without being rude or condescending. The wait time was nonexistent, and if I did have a wait it was less than 10 minutes compared to sitting for a half hour like I'm used to. I was able to book an appointment during my lunch break and had 15 minutes to spare, including walking. Highly recommend!

First thing I’ll say is the doctor spent a lotttt of time with me. It wasn’t rushed, he answered all my questions, made sure we ordered the things/additional tests that I wanted. Very pleasantly surprised with this visit and will absolutely make him my PCP

I chose Dr. Lau as my new primary care provider based on very good reviews by other patients and he even exceeded those expectations. Based on my experience in recent years it is a rarity to be treated with this type of white glove service. Dr. Lau was very thorough in examining me and he was also a great listener. He also helped by referring me to other specialists that I need to see as a follow up.

He is an amazing doctor and person. He really cares. He watches through your application answers, describe in details what's is going on with your health, and gives recommendations, explaining everything in simple terms. Outstanding experience. Dr. Lau's style was matter of fact without being judgmental. Perhaps that was in response to my somewhat laissez-faire approach to healthcare or just his way, but it made me feel completely at home.
I was checked in and seen immediately at the appointed time, promptly scheduled for a follow-up at the end, and on my merry way.
The office was spotless - don't be put off by the "cellar" location - and easy to find.

Dr. Lau was fantastic, personable, knowledgeable, and thoroughly explained everything including visuals! He got to the bottom of my medical issue quickly, listened to everything I had to say, and set me about the best course of treatment. The medical receptionist was also excellent and incredibly warm as well. I cannot recommend this office enough!
