Dr. Leslie is passionate about helping people change their relationship with food and their bodies. She works with individuals with eating and weight related concerns. She also works with people experiencing anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, and relationship issues.
Dr. Leslie has experience seeing clients in college counseling centers, hospitals, medical centers, and private practice. At Northwestern University’s counseling center, Dr. Leslie was part of the Eating Concerns Assessment and Treatment Team. She is currently a board member of her local chapters International Association of Eating Disorders Professional. Dr. Leslie has also been featured in articles from My Fitness Pal, HuffPost, Eat This Not That, Weight Watchers, and Bustle.
As a therapist, Dr. Leslie focuses on building a strong and trusting relationship with everyone she works with. Her approach is based on her belief that a supportive, nonjudgmental, and empowering therapy environment leads to positive changes. She uses evidenced-based approaches while personalizing therapy to best fit the unique needs of each person. She draws primarily from cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and interpersonal therapy to help people gain a better understanding of themselves as they develop new strategies to best meet their goals.
IMPORTANT: Dr. Leslie is an out of network provider. She does not accept insurance. Her rates are $230 for the first intake appointment and $200 for therapy appointments. She can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
