Getting to know Dr. Rebekah Hellier
I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice. Also, I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed through the Florida Board of Nursing and board certified through the American Nursing Credentialing Center. I earned both my Doctor of Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing with honors from the University of Alabama, being inducted into both the Omega Nu Lambda Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society. Before that I earned my Bachelor of Science in nursing from Grand Canyon University. My psychiatric mental health clinical training consisted of private practice psychiatry; child, adolescent, and young adult patient populations; and Veteran’s Affairs, serving the geropsychiatric patient population at the James A. Haley VA in Tampa, Florida. I have over 24 years of clinical experience and most recently has ventured out into Private Practice Psychiatry. Previously, I spent 20 years of my career working at Tampa General Hospital caring for patients with numerous co-morbidities: specializing in surgical services; post- and antepartum patient care; and medical and surgical direct patient care.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Initially, I take time to listen to your background and primary needs. I will provide a safe place for discuss and offer feedback accordingly. Next, we will work together to determine what your goals are for treatment. Finally, we develop your individualized treatment plan.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Intake sessions involve obtaining relevant psychiatric and medical background. As I collect data from you, I start to form a diagnosis based on both the information provided and subjection and objective symptoms.
I provide both medication management and talk therapy as a way of treating symptoms and reaching desirable outcomes.

I absolutely love Rebekah! She is very personable and makes you feel so comfortable at every appointment. There is never a wait for her and she is always willing to work with your schedule. Rebekah has made my life so much better these past few years and I am so grateful for all she has done for me! You are in great hands!

Dr. Hellier is an incredible provider. She has helped me so much and I cannot thank her enough. If you are looking for an easy-going, kind, and caring provider, this is the one. She listens, doesn’t judge, and prescribes the right medicaton. Her work is truly touching and she is clearly an amazing person. I have never met another provider with so much talent.
