“I had an introductory appointment with psychiatrist Rhonda, and she was truly wonderful. She was extremely precise, thorough, and thoughtful in her communication, and she took the time to fully understand my background as a patient. She went in depth about symptoms, potential side effects, and considerations that many doctors often rush through or overlook. That level of detail and care really sets her apart. Her approach feels both knowledgeable and compassionate, and it’s what makes her unique and exceptional when it comes to psychiatric care.”

Getting to know Rhonda Heath

Hi, I'm Rhonda, and congratulations on taking a step forward for you! I'm a Board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who previously worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have 4 years of outpatient psychiatric experience. I earned my Bachelor's degree from University of Detroit Mercy and also attended Wayne State University. I completed my Master's in Adult Nurse Practitioner and obtained a Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Nova Southeastern University. I specialize in Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia, ADHD, and Substance Abuse.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to care is to meet you where you are. Ideally, you are ready for a holistic approach that focuses on supplements, therapy, and regular exercise. Yet, not everyone has the time and dedication to do just that -- that's where medication(s) can assist. Or, maybe you need Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) or Spravato in-office treatment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The goal of treatment I like to share with patients is that of participation -- joint goals. Yet, the best outcome for you will be when you are willing to make changes. Meaning, you are ready to adopt the planning, do the plan, check back in on the plan, and if there are gaps -- that you act on the "tweaking". It is a process -- and it important to not let medication be the only answer. In-office appointments can be requested too (Ft. Lauderdale, FL). We can do an Initial Psychiatric Evaluation, Assessments for ADHD and other ailments, Psychotherapy (Talk Therapy), or Medication Management. Maybe you need a combination of Medication Management and Therapy. Whatever it is, I'm happy to help you feel your best.
