About Dr. Richard Mizuguchi

Dr. Mizuguchi received his BS degree from the University of Pennsylvania and continued to Tulane University School of Medicine, where he received his MD degree. He completed his residency in dermatology at Wayne State University, where he was chief resident. After finishing his residency, Dr Mizuguchi served as clinical attending at Northwestern University Medical Center, and chief hair restoration surgeon at Physician’s Hair Institute.
In 2002, he accepted an academic position at St Luke’s-Roosevelt and Beth Israel. He also is currently an assistant clinical professor at Columbia University. He practices dermatology, where he offers service to low-income patients and also trains dermatology residents.
Dr. Mizuguchi practices all aspects of dermatology, including cosmetic procedures and lasers. He has a special interest in hair disease, including medical and surgical treatments. He is fluent in Japanese.
