Robert Bacigalupi, MD, FAAD is a board certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon. Dr. Bacigalupi specializes in general dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology including laser therapy and injectable neurotoxins and fillers. He completed his medical degree in 2010 at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans where he was awarded induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Award honor society. After completing dermatology residency at Tulane Medical Center where he served as chief resident, Dr. Bacigalupi went on to complete a procedural dermatology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where he remains on faculty as a clinical instructor overseeing the resident surgery clinic. He has authored many publications in peer-reviewed journals as well as book chapters in both medical and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Bacigalupi was excellent. He gave me a thorough examination and solved a minor, but vexing problem very easily. He has a wonderful bedside manner and made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend him for anyone who needs dermatological services.

The doctor was friendly and clear in his diagnosis and instructions for treatment. I had other unrelated questions about marks that have developed on my skin and he was able to assure me that were not of concern.

Very nice, clean office with an upscale looking decor. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, even though I was running ~10 minutes late - I did call ahead to let them know, however. Their policy, however, as I learned reading the new patient forms, is that if you're more than 15 minutes late they will ask you to reschedule. Seems fair to me, however, as they seem to run a pretty tight ship.
Dr. Bacigalupi was quite friendly, with a kind and gentle bedside manner. He saw me less than two minutes after I had been called back to the exam room, and he did not rush me once he began his examination.
He was thorough, gave me numerous tips and recommendations, answered all of my questions, threw in some free samples, and even noticed another very mild skin issue unrelated to the purpose of my visit and made sure to give me something to treat it, as well, which I very much appreciated.
I can't yet speak to the effectiveness of treatment plan, but his recommended treatment was in line with what I had expected and, most importantly, he outlined some future options for if things don't work out with the initial plan. I was very happy about that.
I had been avoiding seeing a dermatologist for quite a few years because of a bad experience with the first one I had seen several years ago who made me feel as if the issue I was seeing her for was not worthy of her time - she spent 2 minutes with me, wrote a steroid prescription, and didn't bother to discuss follow up options. I had left feeling like I was wasting her time. Dr. Bacagalupi was absolutely nothing like that and I really appreciated it.
Overall, I'm happy with this first visit and would recommend him based on my experience thus far.

Dr. Bacigalupi is attentive, professional and thorough. Educated & trained in Mohs surgery. I found him direct and informative in explaining procedure, options and concerns. Dr. Bacigalupi answered my questions in a soothing demeanor. I experienced the highest level of care during the procedure and all follow up exams. This far I am seeing fabulous results far exceeding my expectations.

Dr. Bacigalupi was extremely attentive to detail. He takes time to explain procedure. But more important he discusses long range goals and expectations.He never pushes unnecessary procedures or promotes unrealistic goals.His goal for cosmetic procedures is for the results to be subtle and realistic and that is exactly what he achieves. He has a very warm and caring attitude. He also provides a wonderful follow up

Very caring. Great at both general dermatology and cosmetics! He is a hard worker and loves what he does. I highly recommend him. He does wonderful filler injections for the lips. He is also a great Mohs surgeon.

He is an amazing doctor. I orginally was skeptical about getting cosmetics done but he made my experience worth it. I will continue to go see him for any work needed. His hands are magic.
