About Dr. Anna Bender-Zeckendorf
Dr. Anna Bender-Zeckendorf only sees children and adolescents.
Dr. Anna Bender-Zeckendorf is board-certified in both Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology and has extensive experience in delivering tailored care to infants, children, and adolescents with skin conditions. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of birthmarks, eczema, rashes, warts, skin growths, acne, hair and nail disorders, skin infections, and other skin conditions. She prioritizes patient comfort, and individualized attention to skin care needs, and encourages questions during the visit.
Dr. Bender graduated summa cum laude from Amherst College and earned her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. After her internship at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan, she completed her dermatology residency training at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Bender completed an additional year of fellowship training in Pediatric Dermatology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, making her uniquely qualified to care for children with skin disorders.
Prior to joining Bodhi Medical Group, Dr. Bender worked for over nine years as an academic pediatric and adult dermatologist at Weill Cornell Medical College. She continues to contribute to medical education as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College and enjoys teaching residents.
A fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Society of Pediatric Dermatology, Dr. Bender is dedicated to advancing dermatologic care through education and collaboration. Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Bender is fond of exploring New York City’s many diverse restaurants and enjoys spending time in Central Park with her husband and two young sons.

Dr. Bender-Zeckendorf treated my 6 month old son for a severe eczema. As a mother, I was in
extreme distress seeing my son suffering; Dr. Bender-Zeckendorf’s kind, compassionate, and
confident approach immediately set me at ease. In just days after starting her treatment regimen, my
son’s condition rapidly improved and he went from experiencing constant pain and itchiness to
behaving like his normal happy self. I highly recommend her for all kids and their anxious parents!

My son had an urgent dermatoligic issue and Dr Bender made sure to fit him in to her schedule right away. She is gifted with children. She was able to quickly develop a warm and trusting connection with my son so that she could diagnose the issue and make treatment recommendations. We were so relieved to be in expert hands, having confidence in a doctor is so important and when your trusting them with your child it adds another layer of complexity. Our son left the office with nothing but positive feedback!
