After earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and completing his residency over three decades ago, Dr. Gerber established his own private practice with a commitment to excellence in foot and ankle care. In May 2023, I had my first appointment with Dr. Gerber. I went in thinking my little toe was broken but (fortunately) all was well. However, Dr. Gerber suggested I get my nails trimmed and callouses removed which I did. He did a great job and I'll be going back on a regular schedule. However, what I was most impressed by was how he apologized profusely for keeping me waiting. I have gotten used to waiting 45 minutes (or more) at my other doctor visits, so I was pleasantly surprised by his apology. Overall, I was very impressed by him.

I saw this doctor a few weeks ago due to one of my toenails falling off. I have a few disabilities and I struggle sometimes with fungal infections. He pretty much mocked me for coming in for a toenail. He had awful bedside manner and I asked him to take a sample to get it tested. He did grudgingly and I never heard back. I believe that all health care providers should be required to take a trauma awareness course and have sensitivity/diversity training. I am a visibly Muslim woman that uses a mobility device. I feel the least safe with doctors. They tend to be ableist and discriminatory.
If you are white and able-bodied, you may be ok! ??

Dr. Gerber was absolutely wonderful! I am much younger than the majority of his patients, at just 21, I went in for ingrown toe nail issues. While the wait time was a little bit, I did not mind at all as he was very direct and listened so well to my ailment. He went as far as to draw me a diagram to take home with me to help me understand the procedure. It was my first ever surgery and he did an excellent job. I didn't feel a thing other than the numbing and I was given very clear post op instructions and easily scheduled check ups. He did such a wonderful job and I have been pain free for two years now! Thank you so much Dr.!

Dr.Gerber was so incredibly nice and really took his time to explain everything to me. He never made me feel like I asked too many questions. He made the whole experience smooth and easy and not awkward. He is very attentive to all his patients. Also the front staff Javier was very helpful and kind too. I highly recommend this place and Dr.Geber.

The other doctors couldn't relieve the pain. Dr. Gerber made my foot feel better right away. And now the pain is completely gone.

Dr. Robert Gerber is the WORST SURGEON I've had. From the moment I stepped into the room he yelled and verbally attacked me. He asked, "What's wrong with your feet?" I told him what my diagnosis is and he yelled, "I'M NOT ASKING WHAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE SAYING, I'M ASKING YOU WHAT'S WRONG!!" Then he attacked me again: "I ASK YOU A SIMPLE QUESTION, JUST GIVE ME A SIMPLE ANSWER!!!" With my situation, there's no simple question or simple answer because I've had pain since November 2016. Every response he gave was arrogant, condescending, unnecessary, and belittling. Don't waste your time and money with him.
