The only reason the wait time was so long was because the office was having a problem getting my referral but the doctor was definitely worth the wait! It's nice to have a doctor who actually cares about his patients and is willing to take his time explaining everything.

Dr. Robert Kim is an Anesthesiologist and Pain Management specialist treating patients in the Flushing, Bayside, and greater New York City area. His objective is to utilize his knowledge and skills to improve his patients’ quality of life. He offers personalized, gentle care and holds Board certification for both Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He is also multilingual, speaking English, Korean, Spanish, and German.
Dr. Kim graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine, and finished his Internal Medicine training at Albert Einstein Medicine Center in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Columbia University Medical Center - NY Presbyterian Hospital and his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at the University of California in Irvine.
Dr. Kim performs many interventional pain procedures, including transforaminal epidural steroid injections, sympathetic nerve blocks, facet joint injections, medial branch nerve blocks, and radiofrequency neuroablation. He uses only the most effective and up-to-date techniques, such as ultrasound-guided injections, fluoroscopically-guided injections, and spinal cord stimulator implantation.
In addition, Dr. Kim’s office offers a “one-stop shop” for pain management with many levels of care. His office offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, physiatry, medical acupuncture, and interventional pain management.
When he is not working, Dr. Kim is enjoys painting, drawing, cooking, eating, traveling, and running.

The doctor takes time to listen and has good bedside manner. Also explains the diagnosis and procedures. Also gave me options on how to deal with my issue. The office is very clean and calming. I don't mind the 30 min travel either.

I am a returning patient and every time I come in to every visit I am amazed by Dr Kim. He is the best experience I've had with a medical professional. Since I haven't been to a pain management care doctor, when I first went to Dr. Kim office with a list of health concerns I wanted to discuss, not only did he take his time explaining his answers to my questions, he did this with great care. Plus speaking to him felt therapeutic, and believe it or not but sometimes you need someone to listen to you...Especially at this awkward time in my mid-thirties. He listened with the ear of a humane medical professional. Doctor Kim and his staff are empathic and connected with their patients. Finally, I have a pain management doctor whom I can trust. I believe everyone should have access to a doctor like Dr. Kim, and I've already recommended him health services to family and friends.
Moreover the personal at front desk and all others, are so welcoming that you feel like you are at home. The worm atmosphere which is provided either at office and over the phone, and I’d like to thank particularly Anna, with whom I spend a lot of time talking to, is incredible and lovely. This is the office you need to go.
Also on my last visit to my primary physician doctor the report from Dr. Kim was with my doctor for his review on all of Dr.Kim’s assessments and evaluations of my health issues. It is very, very, very rear in doctor’s spheres, and I have been going to doctors for the last 10 years in a row, that the doctor himself made a detailed report with full descriptions faxed to primary doctor way before I reached it. He is just on top of everything and with him I don’t have to worry about anything because he takes care of me from every possible side to make my life pain free. I know as long as I am with him my life is worry free and very well taken care of because he is a real doctor, which is, in our times very rear to find.

WOW!!!! if you are looking for sharply knowledgeable, intelligent, great personal skills which will make you feel like you are at home, look no further. I REALLY MEAN IT. try this doctor and you will understand what i mean. i have never seen such a hospitality, and not just from doctor but from everyone and since i had pain almost everywhere, i felt very relaxed and at ease. I was placed on a very long lasting medication which all of the other doctors couldn't detect, but Dr.Kim on my first appointment gave me med for which i helps me greatly. The office is new and amazingly beautiful. I loved everything about my visit and there was nothing that i could not like. You don't believe me? well try it for yourself, you'll see what i mean.
