I am Dr. Robert Tang Bau, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, who is committed to delivering high-quality mental health care. With over eight years of experience in the medical and nursing fields, my journey has been shaped by my service as a U.S. Air Force Veteran and my continued role as an active Reservist. These experiences have instilled in me resilience, discipline, and a deep sense of responsibility toward those I serve. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of South Alabama, where I gained comprehensive training in evidence-based psychiatric care. Mental health is not just my profession; it is my passion and calling. It has a profound place in my heart, driving me to connect with each patient on a personal level, understand their unique challenges, and offer compassionate support in their healing journey.
My practice focuses on providing comprehensive and individualized care to individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population. I believe in creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where patients feel empowered to share their stories and take an active role in their care.
My treatment approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and respect, ensuring that every patient is heard, valued, and supported. I specialize in managing a wide range of mental health conditions, including ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Addiction, Personality Disorders, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, and more. By staying updated with the latest evidence-based treatment guidelines, I ensure that my patients receive the most effective care to enhance their mental, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.
My approach is person-centered. I understand that every client's needs are diverse and specific to them. I allow the client to lead us as they are experts in their own life. I am so grateful for the chance to come alongside the client to help them to reach their goals.
