DR. Philips is an extraordinary doctor!!! So personable and kind with a genuine and high regard for all of a patients concerns, big or small. ALWAYS gives the patient as much time as needed and explains all care given at the time. A truly magnificent one of a kind doctor. I would recommend her to all who seek full gynecological care as well as great emotional support thru all difficulties. I just love everything about her. A genius!!!!

For 30 years I have been in private practice on the upper east side of Manhattan. I gave up obstetrics in 1991. My specialty is midlife women’s health and menopause management. I have a particular interest in early cancer detection and was one of the first gynecologists in NYC to offer infrared breast scanning to my patients. In addition, I specialize in testing women for the genes that give them an increased risk for breast, ovary and colon cancer and melanoma.
I have been a long time member of NAMS and go to the annual meeting every year. I was certified first in 2009 and continue to keep my certification active by continuing medical education in menopause management.
I first did infrared breast scanning from 2006-2008 with the Sentinel Breast Scan and have embraced this technology. I am acquiring the new and improved NoTouchBreastScan in April of 2012. I will be the only gynecologist to own this machine of the upper east side of Manhattan.
I take extensive cancer family histories on all my gyn patients and have been testing patients for the genes for breast and ovarian cancer, colon and endometrial cancer and melanoma and pancreatic cancer since 2007. I am a national lecturer on this topic.
I continue to practice gynecology for all women ages 14 – 101 years old. I do all gyn procedures. Uniquely, I am one of the few office gynecologists in Manhattan who offer office hysteroscopy.
For many years I was the gynecologic consultant to the Dept. of Geriatrics at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center.
