Dr. Norris is once again accepting new adult patients to his practice. His focus of care is the evaluation and treatment of depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and ADD/ADHD in adults between the ages of 20 and 60. Dr. Norris provides medication management and, where appropriate, psychotherapy. He often collaborates in providing medication management to patients of licensed therapists at Bedford Behavioral Health (BBH) and of clinicians not associated with BBH. Where appropriate, he uses pharmacogenomic testing to guide medication management. He also is comfortable referring patients, where appropriate, for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and other specialty therapies.
Dr. Norris has been in practice for over 40 years and has actively participated in continuing medical and psychiatric education throughout that time. Subsequent to graduating from medical school, Dr. Norris has received psychiatric and other specialty training at Massachusetts General Hospital, University of Iowa Hospitals, Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He has served as the Vice Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Kansas Medical Center as well as on the faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
