She listened to my concerns about certain medications and doses and seemed to prescribe what I was comfortable with while also finding what she believed to help me. After years of being in treatment and trying new medications, she was the first to prescribe me a certain medication that has helped me more than any other (on my first visit, too)! She tries to find a combination (if need be) with as few medications as possible which I appreciate and respect.

Dr. Nikravesh is a board certified general adult psychiatrist who focuses on the connection between the mind and the body. She believes that identifying individual strengths and developing insight, balanced with lifestyle modifications and psychopharmacology can help achieve true healing.
Her fascination with human behavior encouraged her to pursue a bachelors degree in psychobiology at UCLA followed by a doctorate from Western University of Health Sciences. As a medical student she worked in a variety of local hospitals including USC, UCLA, Cedars Sinai and Pacific Long Beach. While she was a student, she was curious about how the mental health of medical students affected their performance. Additionally, she researched how the workload of medical residents affected their patient care and if these effects carried on with them long term. She contributed her research to two published manuscripts on burnout during medical school and burnout during residency.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Nikravesh relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where she completed her 4 year residency training in general adult psychiatry. She was exposed to a wide variety of pathology in numerous different settings, which helped her build a strong foundation of knowledge in psychiatry. She gained extensive experience in treating the most acute and critically ill patients.
Dr. Nikravesh is compassionate and strives to build meaningful therapeutic alliances.
