Dr. Roxanna Namavar is a Board-Certified psychiatrist and fellow in the American Academy of Anti-Aging, specializing in functional and integrative medicine. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed her residency training at the University of Virginia Medical Center while conducting research at the Division of Perceptual Studies. Dr. Namavar's approach is rooted in connection, allowing patients a deeper understanding of their inner and outer wellness. She believes the next stage of medicine focuses on cellular health and regeneration and practices with an awareness of how science, emotionality, and spirituality impact both herself and her patients. Additionally, she is a Brennan Healing Science practitioner, NADA certified in auricular acupuncture, and trained in hypnosis.

The doctor was engaged and engaging, a good listener with a sympathetic and kind manner. She was obviously knowledgeable on all the matters presented such as pharmaceuticals, etc. I would highly recommend her.

Very happy I found Dr.Namavar. Kind, warm and non-judgemental (which is very important to me.). Furthermore, she actually listens to what you are saying and genuinely cares for giving the right treatment--- assessed my medications AND prescribed a vitamin regimen which most doctors, at least in my experience, fail to do. Definitely looking forward to my next appointment!

Dr. Roxanna Namavar is incredible. I saw her for the first time and felt immediately comfortable! She has a way of explaining in such a clear manner. She is very knowledgeable and insightful. I would recommend her to anyone who is not only looking for a psychiatrist but also a friend.
