Roy Elevazo is a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). He specializes in treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention deficit disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and many other psychiatric conditions.
His expertise and primary focus lie in pharmacotherapy. Roy earned his Bachelor of Nursing from California State University, Long Beach, in 2005, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from the same university in 2013, graduating with honors. He is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma). My primary focus is medication management to improve symptoms to get back to optimal level of functioning.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Primary is to identify symptoms with subjective and objective data, understand treatment history and previous diagnosis then create a tailored treatment plan for medication management, constant re-evaluation and communication.

My daughter sees Mr. Elevazo. He does great with her but also communicating with myself, he is very kind and personable and his staff is also very prompt in answering any questions and returning phone calls.

Prior to meeting Np Elevazo, I had only ever talked with a GP regarding my mental health and poorly managed with a one sized fits all from the GP.
NP Elevazo has provided positive life changing care and has given me back my clarity by listening to my needs and concerns and assisting in a plan- regimen that works specifically for me.
If you are in need of care and want someone who is genuine and passionate, I would highly recommend.

I felt that he was very dismissive , asking me who dx me with this and that, like it truly mattered , felt like he did not believe what I was saying .
Also mentioned I was on many supplements, and he said that I can get all of that through food…. Clearly that is incorrect, as I was prescribed from a well known hospital.

I have multiple doctors and now adays they all seem to use some kind of online video conferencing program. I have to say, this is my favorite doctor, the best doctor and he uses the best video conferencing program.

I understand that the zoom meeting may make things trickier and that everyone is going through a lot right now but I watched this practitioner repeatedly try to hide his yawns during my appointment when I am revealing extremely personal information about myself in order to seek treatment.
