He is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (DABPM) and board-qualified in Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery (RRA) by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). Dr. Vemula earned his doctorate from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. He went on to hone his skills in a rigorous foot and ankle surgical residency at Rutgers Health CMC, followed by an advanced reconstructive foot and ankle fellowship at Orthopedic Institute Brielle Orthopedics. His clinical expertise includes forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, arthroscopy, minimally invasive techniques, Charcot limb salvage, external fixation, and total ankle replacement. Dr. Vemula’s dedication to advancing the profession is evident through his research contributions featured in podiatry journals and posters at national podiatric conferences. Dr. Vemula is a strong advocate of preventive medicine, taking the time to educate his patients and their families about the underlying causes of foot and ankle conditions and the importance of long-term management. His goal is to provide outstanding patient care beyond their expectations with an unwavering commitment to optimal healing, function, and mobility. Outside the OR, you’ll find him behind a camera lens, on the tennis court, or in the kitchen with family and friends
