Dr. Samatha Kadiyala is a board-certified Urogynecologist and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeon. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Siddhartha Medical College, followed by residencies in General Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Connecticut. She further specialized with a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Mohawk Valley Health System, St. Elizabeth Campus. Although her practice focuses on urogynecology, Dr. Kadiyala addresses all minimally invasive gynecological surgical needs in the community. Over the past 10 years, her practice has grown to provide care for patient referrals from local OB-GYNs, primary care physicians, and other specialists. She also helped the local hospital secure the first designation as a Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery in 2014. “Many women suffer for months, and even years, either too embarrassed to discuss their concerns or unaware that there are solutions.” Urogynecology focuses on evaluating and treating issues such as urinary leakage (stress incontinence or overactive bladder) and prolapse, generally understood as uterine or bladder drop. Prolapse involves sagging of vaginal walls causing the bladder or rectum to descend into the vagina, leading to symptoms like a bulge, fullness, or difficulty emptying the bladder or bowels. “Treatment options for improving health and quality of life for women suffering from childbirth injury and age-related issues such as prolapse, incontinence, pain, or sexual dysfunction have evolved significantly in the past decades.” Dr. Kadiyala offers both non-surgical and surgical options, including minimally invasive laparoscopic and vaginal techniques for gynecologic and pelvic reconstructive surgery to treat incontinence and prolapse. My goal is to provide comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to each individual's unique needs.
