Dr. Sammy Nur, DNP

Dr. Sammy Nur, DNP

Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
CO
I am an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider from Evergreen and a board-certified practitioner who has worked across various states and communities. I have experience in all aspects of care, from mental health to chronic care. I attribute much of my "patient-centered care" approach to the diverse patient populations I have served. This diversity, as I often say, "has made way for understanding how similar we are as individuals and communities, as well as understanding the intricate differences we each have." "Patient autonomy" and "patient empowerment" are the foundations of my approach. Patients should be heard, educated on all aspects of their concerns, and ultimately able to make well-informed decisions about their plan of care. I hold a Doctorate and a Master's in Family Nursing from South University, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University, El Paso.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I specialize in providing comprehensive mental health consultations tailored to your individual needs. During the initial 30-minute consultation, I conduct a thorough review of your medical history, perform a physical examination, and may conduct diagnostic tests to evaluate your health. This process enables me to identify specific issues and craft a personalized treatment plan to address your concerns effectively. In follow-up mental health visits, my focus is on monitoring your progress. I assess any new symptoms or concerns you may have and make necessary adjustments to your treatment plan, ensuring it remains tailored to your evolving needs. I am dedicated to optimizing your health outcomes and providing continuous support throughout your mental health journey. For medication refill appointments, I conduct a brief review of your medical history, confirm the need for medication refill, and issue a new prescription promptly. Additionally, I evaluate any side effects or concerns related to the medication, ensuring your treatment plan aligns with your requirements. Your well-being is my priority, and I am committed to delivering personalized, compassionate care to enhance your mental health and overall quality of life.
