About Dr. Samuel M Adu-Lartey
Dr. Maxwell S. Adu-Lartey grew up in Ghana and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. During medical school, Dr. Adu-Lartey was involved in extensive geriatric research at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University, where he received the National Medical Fellow in Academic Medicine award. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Pinnacle Health in Harrisburg and pursued fellowships at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute and the University of South Florida. Dr. Adu-Lartey utilizes both non-surgical and surgical techniques to treat conditions of the spine. His surgical expertise includes minimally invasive procedures such as microdiscectomy, laminectomy and decompression surgery, percutaneous instrumentation of the spine, minimally invasive spinal fusion techniques, and kyphoplasty.

I was upset I filled out all the online forms only to have to fill them out again at the doctor's office. I was told they don't really use this format? The doctor talked negative about the doctor who did my surgery last year. Never put down someone else's work in my opinion. It made me feel bad. Whether I might return to this doctor, I don't know. I was trying to get a doctor closer than my current doctor.

My appointment was at 2.40 and he was right on time. He cares about his patients and will not so anymore than is necessary. I went in thinking I would have to have surgery because of what the MRI guy said . But he took care of my problem right then and there witch is what we paid for. So it anyone has a problem that needs an orthopedic surgeon I would recommend this doctor even if you have to drive an hour to get to him like I did.

As an UK orthopaedic RN,BSN, who has practiced both there and here in the US, you can imagine I have very high standards.
Dr Adu-Lartey met all of them. Recently I required urgent spinal surgery and a spinal fusion which he expertly managed. The holistic way he treated myself and my engineer husband was superb. He went above and beyond to ensure full understanding of the procedures and ensuring access to him over the weekend for questions as our MRI result appointment was late on a Friday.
I would highly recommend this excellent Doctor highly skilled both surgically and with the best people skills that I have experienced in a long time
